Having an attacking DC tuck his dick between his legs and use the ladies room while calling plays probably has an effect.

This D was built to attack - not play off man and throw our pass rushers into short zones or covering hb's/te's/wr's in the flats...

I think that having a guy like Peters back there - who other QBs won't even throw at - has a lot of different effects that are hard to describe.

On the one hand, he can shut a large are of the field down. But there's also a sense in which this increases pressure on other guys in the secondary who just aren't very good, and that may not always work out in or favor.

If opposing QBs just ignore Peters and pick the middle or other side of the field apart all day, and Gaines/Mitchell/Nelson/or linebackers are all seeing greatly increased numbers of "thrown ats", that may not work out in our favor in the end.

If you have a strong corner on the other side and a good secondary in general, maybe a guy like Peters takes it to the next level. If your whole defense is weak, then his presence may indirectly put more pressure on weak players.

I heard some talk today that the reason the defense looked good yesterday was because everyone was doing their job. That doesn't happen with Peters, because Peters freelances which leaves guys hanging out to dry. Peter's yelling at the LB's like they are not doing their job it turns out may be wrong. Turns out, it is Peters not doing his job. Interesting discussion.

I’m not super smart but you would have to be a simpleton to not get that Hamas was implying the defense playing with a little fire had absolutely nothing to do with Peters getting suspended.
