2016 KC Chiefs Goat(s)

Every year there a few Chiefs who I start out being kind of "down" on. You know, guys who are supposed to be better than their performance, or new guys who you just can't warm up to.....so, you don't exactly hate 'em, but you watch them with suspicion.

Examples of prior such "goats" include:

Alex - Too darned risk averse (i.e. deflated balls)
Fisher - Expected more of a #1 pick
Ford - Terrible at everything except first step
Wilson - Won't dive for the ball
Sorensen - Not fast enough
Parker - Misses too many tackles
DAT - Timid
Fleming - Too toasty
Gaines - Brittle
Santos - Any kicker can qualify to be disliked with a couple of bad kicks
Colquitt - See above
Etc.

Anyway, this year, the guy I'm most "down" on is Mr Dee Ford. I think the guy has a ton of physical talent, but I question his football IQ and his dedication to the sport. Yeah, perhaps he's a new man this year, but I'm gonna have to see it to believe it.

Second on my list this year is DAT. Hard to fathom what the heck happened at the end of last year. Does the guy really want to be here?

My third guy is Knile Davis. Guy has some talent, but puts the ball on the rug way too much. Hold onto the fricking ball!

So, who do you have a wayward eye on this year? Fire away, lads.

He's my breakout player this year. So you're probably right. But I'm hoping he stays healthy, and we use some 2 te packages that will help him excel. IIRC, at the beginning of this regimes first season we used some good 3 te sets and they worked out well until someone got hurt.

I won't be responding to him anymore though because he's obviously just a troll, hence the mysterious Houston "major knee injury" in college.
I don't think he was comparing you on a quality human stand point or someone willing to listen to a point. Just that you are the same in being both as far as you can be but on two different spectrums. You will find the positive if you have to break your leg doing it. Sometimes it's annoying, but as someone that can lean negative, I also appreciate it sometimes.

Your explosion of reactions in this thread lend to your massive tendency to defend Chiefs to the death, which is why he would like to see you vs. Clay.

I know what he meant by that, but I disagree that I'm a blind homer in the same way that Clay is a blind hater.

I wouldn't "defend the Chiefs to the death" if we haven't had 3 consecutive winning seasons. I believe in this regime. That's really all there is to it, and anybody that can honestly lean towards the negative side with them is a ****ing clueless idiot or simply cannot let go of the past. I follow the entire process to the point of watching 150+ prospects every year, so I understand just how great of a job Dorsey has done in his first 3 drafts. I have similar taste in prospects (Kelce, Gaines, Fisher, Peters, Jones, Murray, Nelson just to name some of the guys I was also high on), so it is only natural that I have a lot of respect/trust in this regime.

Saying that two players coming off injury will be good instead of great isn't "blind hate."

It is extremely pessimistic to think they can't return to form in this day and age when just about everybody does coming off of ACL surgery.

Recent history backs up my take, not yours.

I would say they could both return to form, but not as early as this year.

Next year, certainly, if there are no setbacks.

What is the history of guys with multiple ACL surgeries, BTW? I would bet not good.

Dorsey. He should've had replacements for aging players already on the roster. There is no way he should've signed Hali after letting his dead money hit the cap and he had to because he whiffed on the Dee Ford pick. He also should've never given a 34 year old ILB such a large contract.

Now he has to worry about getting Eric Berry, Poe, and Fisher signed when he's projected to be over the cap next season. The Marcus Peters pick could've saved his job, hopefully Peters doesn't revert to his college ways in the coming years.

Jamel Fleming and Rod Streater.

I think Eric Murray will take any time Fleming could get and Streater would be the 5th receiving option at best behind Maclin, Kelce, JC and Hill. Don't see how he makes a big addition under those circumstances.

It's funny hearing knowmo try to rip Dorsey when Elway has had a horrific offseason.

In the same offseason we got Schwartz for close to what Elway paid Stephenson.

Most blind homers are unaware of how blind of homers they really are because they can't see it...because they are blind. And people who are blind can't see.

Dude, you get all twisted, worked up and bent out of shape over silly NFL Top 100 Player lists in which you don't think certain Chiefs are ranked as highly as they should be.

When I think of the biggest homers on this board, you inmediately come to my mind. Which is fine, that's your thing...I wish I had your optimism...but dude, don't lie to yourself...you are a homer. And if you don't realize that, you are likely a blind one, homeslice.

Clay knows what he is doing. I've heard he used to be the biggest homer on here. I think he's just become apathetic due to let downs and it's more of a "troll" thing than being a blind hater...to ease the apathy and boredom that he has presumably been feeling with the Chiefs. Homers biting on his shtick is entertainment to him...and to be honest, it's entertaining to some people (myself included) watching people blindly bite on it.

What the **** are you even talking about?

I don't give a shit about the top 100 list. The only rant I went on in that thread was about Blake Bortles being way too high because it was clearly ridiculous. The only reason I was arguing is because there were actually some morons that agreed with it. Stop talking out of your ass.

This team is in prime position to be a contender for the next few years, and I'm a homer for believing they can get it done? Clearly another clueless idiot.

You have absolute zero proof that either player won't return to form.

You're just trolling, as usual.
