But at the same time, I'm not going to use this single play to try and determine his football past, present and future... still have high hopes for him, I see his athleticism and elite quickness just like you

He has flashed scary talent, I'm certainly not ready to write him off over this play
Read the link I posted. Reid, Sutton, and Ford himself said exactly what I said. You're wrong.

Yeah, cuz no one ever just makes excuses.

He was looking right at Gore with the ball in his hands before he turned and ran.

I don't give a rat's ass about the bullshit excuses.

Ok be an ignorant fool then. I wasn't even aware of their excuse when I came up with mine.

Maybe just maybe, it's the most logical conclusion.

What are you insinuating? That he was scared? Because that's just ****ing stupid.

Look at the play.
Look at Ford.

He absolutely saw the ball in Gore's hand.

You came with with your bullshit because you're a homer.

They came up with their bullshit because they wanted to make an excuse for his piss poor play.

I'm insinuating that the reason that was given in the post that you responded to earlier is the far more likely reason.

Ignorance is ignoring the clear video evidence that he saw the ball.

That is so ****ing ignorant and completely speculative. Without looking with his eyes from his POV there is no way you can say with 100% certainty that he saw the ball. No ****ing way. I guess Reid, Sutton, and Ford all got together to come up with an excuse too.

It was a preseason game in his rookie year., iirc.

He was a DE at auburn and transitioning to LB.

He showed poor instincts and finishing ability, but that was a long time ago and extremely early in his development.

That's a bit of a reach.

The kid looked lost, no doubt....but if he saw the ball in Gores hands, he would have tried to make the play.

It's completely ridiculous to think otherwise. He didn't even have to go into all the traffic to get to him, just beat him to the sideline, which he could have easily done if he didn't get faked out.

It was an embarrassingly bad play, and like you said showed poor instincts from a guy learning to play LB. That's all.

He knew who had the ball, give it up

Is it possible to see potential, while recognizing potential flaws at the same time?

Is that ok with you?

Frank Gore had the ball in his hands for 5 steps and Ford had his eyes on Gore for at least 4 of those steps before Ford turned and ran.

I an not buying the bullshit from you, Reid, Sutton, or Ford.

If you are stupid enough to buy that bullshit, then are ****ing moronic homer.

Gore had offensive linemen in front of him. You have no way of knowing that he could see that ball, but go ahead and double down on your ignorant ****ing take.

It's a big conspiracy. Reid, Sutton, and Ford all got together to get their story straight because they were so ****ing concerned about people like you discovering the truth, right? Also, I just so happened to come to the same conclusion myself before I heard their explanation.

The only ****ing moron here is you. Your age must be starting to catch up with you, because I'm honestly shocked that you could be so hard headed.

Easy 6's explanation doesn't even make sense. He didn't even need to get into the "scrum" to get to Gore, just stay on the outside.

From the article:

"Yeah, he probably thought it was a play action there, at least that's the way it looked," Reid said. "I haven't had the chance to talk to him on that, but I know it probably didn't look the best, but listen, he did some good things too. He'll look back on that one say and I'm sure he'd say the same thing you're saying, what was I doing?"

"He didn't read the play right," Sutton said. "It came out, he kind of felt pass, it was kind of a soft run fake look to him, and then I think he just kind of morphed into his pass responsibility there. Obviously it was a bad read on his part and he needed to come up and be part of the force there."

Nothing about those explanations sounds disingenuous, or like they're flat out making excuses. I actually think it's funny that you're such a ****ing know-it-all that can't see what's obvious.

So, you are saying that Ford was juked out of his pants on a play action fake after Gore already had the ball in his hands for 5 steps.

And you are calling me ignorant?
