Who is still on the Alex Smith bandwagon?
Since the Denver game many of the Smith apologists threw up the white flag and surrendered to reality. I was wondering how many brave souls are left circling the wagons in defense of Alex. Who still thinks Smith is good enough of a QB to lead a team to the Super Bowl? Sandy? Saccapoo? Marcellus? Bueller?

Alex Smith would've been fine had we:

1) played hardball and not shit the bed by giving up so much for him....those 2nd round draft picks were extremely valuable and high.

2) the original contract was too much cash as well, even more reason we shouldn't have had to give SF two great pucks. They got reamed by the Borland pick, but that doesn't mean we would've.

3) we should've drafted his replacement.... So we could've used Alex's msga brain to teach the young padawan and sat him on the bench the 1st year or two.

4) we never should've extended alex, without having a legit plan for the future. He should've been the backup, holding the clip board..helping a young buck
