well the $5M guaranteed pays out 20% of the entrees ... and 30% of the entrees submitted are "shit at the wall" lineups ... so you can realistically play the $5M guaranteed with 5-10 50/50 lineups and probably cash (with big score potential) almost as easy as playing the 50/50's where people don't use "shit at the wall lineups"

You're right.
User error. They pay out 90% of the money that is collected. Approximately. So if they collect $10B in entry fees ... they truly do pay out $9B. It's utterly meaningless, though. Their bottom line is probably about an 8% total rake (less rake for bigger money contests). I assume 5-7.5% of that goes to the cost of running their business ... I wouldn't be surprised if their profit is 0.5% of their total rake ... but if they are getting $1,000,000,000 in play ... that's a lot of ****ing money. Hell, their profit might be far less than 0.5% now that I am running the numbers. |

most importantly, they pay taxes on their bottom line ... which is why "fantasy" is legal (A GAME OF SKILL!) and online poker is illegal (apparently no skill involved).

Well that and the people who've historically lobbied hardest against sports gambling are all in and investors in DFS.

make no mistake
DFS is going to make the owner's of the NBA, NFL and MLB a disgusting amount of money. Disgusting. It generates so much interest in these sports by the degenerates of America. |

which is why Adam Silver came out and lobbied for FanDuel ...
I like the NBA. I don't like watching 82 NBA games. When I have a FanDuel lineup going? I bought NBA TV for crying out loud |

These guys are turning a whole generation of twenty somethings living in their mom's basements into degenerate compulsive gamblers.
And I wish that one dude in the now airbrushed red Brady jersey would stop putting both of his hands in his mouth up to the knuckles. God knows where his hands have been.... |

I only trusted it cause it was a small pool of players so I knew no bots were going to swoop in at the last minute and take the pot. That's what would constantly happen when I tried playing NBA. Funny how many of those "players" knew both Timofey Mozgov AND Mason Plumlee were going to go off on the same night. "Amazing" |
