Brady takes jab at Peyton Manning in email

This is probably part of the reason he doesn't want his text messages out there.

Tom Brady jabs at Peyton Manning in private emails

By Henry McKenna @McKennAnalysis

Tom Brady is supposedly competitive about everything. Apparently, he’s even competitive about the length of his career when compared to his NFL rival Peyton Manning.

The Patriots quarterback jabbed at Manning in his private email correspondence, revealed in the NFLPA lawsuit to appeal Brady’s four-game suspension for his role in Deflategate. Brady was emailing with a childhood friend Kevin Brady, who brought up a Grantland article comparing the two quarterbacks and outlining Manning’s decline. Brady wrote that his career will last at least five years longer than Manning’s. Manning is 39, Brady is 38.

Zinger.

And Brady’s not blind to the differences in the two quarterbacks’ careers. In another correspondence with blogger Jay Flannelly, Flannelly wrote to Brady about those major differences, saying Manning “needs everything to be perfect.” Brady didn’t seem to disagree, providing a typical Patriot-esque response.

Perhaps Brady buys into the Brady-Manning rivalry as much as we do.

Yep. Would you be happy to see Houston out there like that? I'll never understand why they couldn't have at least moved a second defender over there.

I don't think we have a defender that I'd like to see matched up with Gronk 1-on-1, but I'd probably say the same for any team in the league. If forced to choose a single guy, I'd probably prefer:

1. Sean Smith
2. DJ
3. Houston

I don't think any of the three would win the majority out of ten attempts.

That makes me wonder how we defended Gronk this past season. We completely shut him down prior to garbage time but I was too busy basking in the ambiance of that epic beatdwon to pay any specific attention to scheme.

We were really firing on all cylinders that night. It was a thing of beauty.

If he keeps getting suspended it could really keep his legs fresh and extend his career a few more years.

Have you read any of the transcript released this week?

The NFL is run by a bunch of buffoons.

It's worse than I thought.

The NFL was completely clueless and had no idea that balls could naturally deflate from atmospheric conditions.

Essentially, Roger Goodell decided that once the NFL's narrative was released (through figurehead Chris Mortensen, all of which was completely and utterly false), they stuck to it. He decided that he didn't care if the NFL was wrong, he wasn't budging.

It's sickening and Goodell should be fired.
No, I haven't bothered with that story much lately. It's so insanely obvious that they're guilty and that Brady knew about it.

The NFL's witch hunt has certainly managed to get public opinion to believe that, at the very least.

Nope.

That's the NFL's spin, which is treacherous, IMO. The NFL didn't even want the transcript of Brady's meeting released and it's clear why.

They're clueless.

The irony is that had the case gone to Minnesota, it's unlikely that the transcripts would have been released but since it's in NY, the judge agreed with the NFLPA that all info be released.

It's also ridiculous how Troy Vincent dealt with the Minnesota and Green Bay ball incidents completely different than New England's. And if you haven't been paying attention, John Harbaugh has clearly stated that he nor the Ravens tipped off the Colts to under-inflated game balls.

Additionally, Chris Mortensen, who initially reported falsified information from the NFL finally deleted his tweet stating that two NE balls were under-inflated by 2 pounds.

Goodell, for whatever reason, has tried to skew public perception from day one and really messed this up, big time.

NIce to read an open minded viewpoint on the matter other than the typical witch hunt stuff.
