Just so I understand it -- is this for 2015 season or if you were holding a draft now to build your team for the next X years?

If the former, I can't imagine Luck above Brady. If the latter, then I definitely agree, but I can't imagine how Brees/Manning are 4/5 on your list.

Well Manning and Brees are 3 and 5 on another poster's list. Why don't you go ask him? :roll eyes:

Also, what the hell are you talking about "is this for 2015 season or if you were holding a draft now to build your team for the next X years?" Why does this only apply to my opinion and not errrbody else?

Complimentary? That would mean he is a below average NFL starting quarterback.....something you some of us have been trying to get through your head since you followed him over to KC....which you argued until you were blue in the face.

Now its a compliment? LOL. Just comical.

Why I have a hard time with rankings in general, is because people try to rank QBs on what they have done rather than their skillset. When I try to compare QBs, I try to image all things equal. Who would I pick over who if similar circumstance?

The reason why I dont appreciate players like Alex Smith or Russell Wilson nearly as much as players like Tony Romo is because of what is asked out of each quarterback. If Tony Romo plays poorly, the Cowboys have absolutely no chance of winning the game. If Alex Smith or Russell Wilson play poorly, do the Seahawks or our chances of winning drastically go down? No, not really. Alex Smith and Russell Wilson have the luxury of protecting the ball at the expense of production. Most other QBs dont have that luxury....which is why you see more interceptions.

I dont think protecting the ball is some amazing skill....its something ANY serviceable NFL quarterback can do if he doesnt have to worry about anything other than that. I value production over protection. Russell Wilson is right where he should be, and Alex is too high.

Carson Palmer?

The buzz and fantasy football hype based on a stretch of good play for the 1st time in 5 years.

The avg D Pts allowed he faced was 21st.

And Defense handed the AZ offense 13 Turnovers in that 6 game stretch, 3 D/ST TDs. KC got 13 ALL SEASON.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

You know, it is nice seeing Matt Cassel listed where he belongs...the lowest ranked projected starting QB in the league. However, it sure would have been nice seeing him acknowledged for what he was, is and always will be when the Chiefs had him. I used to become physically ill when I'd see him ranked by these "lithpmakers" anywhere from top 10 (after that flukey 2010 season) to nothing lower than like...18-20... Ugh.

That actually is a really ****ing good ranking. I'd only make a couple minor tweaks, nothing egregiously out of place IMO.

I am saying that if Smith is ranked 18th playing behind a shit OL throwing to shit WRs, imagine what his rank might be if (or when) playing behind a respectable OL throwing to respectable WRs.
