I don't know how the **** we could do it cap wise. But I'd trade for Ben in a New York minute. Trade Alex to some needy team. We'd have a high first anyways. I'd do it. Maybe I'm crazy but we'd be a better team with him than Alex no doubt.

Well... more like $25M over 2 years. The Steelers have paid off most of the $100M and are responsible for the remaining signing bonus no matter what. Ben's base salary is $25M over 2 years, which the Chiefs could probably even restructure.

With a 2-6 start, they're potentially in a position to recover quarterback-wise the way the Colts did with Luck. Not sure how the last year of his huge contract is structured, but you can theoretically buy a lot of other pieces on offense with however much he'll be making for the next 5 or 6 years, once he works out his next extension.
