What a horrible head scratching kind of draft

Fisher is a good pick...so is Nico Johnson somewhat as it at least addresses a hole. Everything else is a god damn head scratcher. Knile butterfingers Davis? Cmon....a TE that early? What the hell is going on?

The only thing that eases the pain of the Chiefs draft is to think of the tragedy of the Cowboys draft

People said Tyson Jackson was a fine pick because the 2009 first round was horrible.

Wrong.

The fact that Tyson Jackson ended up being one of the best first round players tells you a lot about the shitty quality of that draft. The big difference in this draft, however, is that the lunch pail guys are actually very highly rated players whereas in 2009 even the lunch pail guys sucked.

That's what you ****ing morons don't get.

He wasn't one of the best first rounders.

He was an absolute abortion of a pick. There are 15 guys in that first round who are better players.

Head scratching? Naw I was scratching my balls and with that said I didn't think it was a terrible draft. Like Mecca said it's just not sexy.

For the life of me I don't understand what's wrong with having a great O line. It's like people around here take it as a negative or something. Take a lesson from DV and build the best O line you can.

Someone posted that we only got one starter. Fisher, Kelce and Nico Johnson are all going to be starters. Kelce is probably the best TE in the draft and Johnson is a perfect fit for our 3-4 so I don't get that. And of course Alex Smith is a starter too. So with our first four picks we got four starters.

The player (other than Fisher) I have the highest hopes for is Nico Johnson.

That guy could be amazing.

I am not justifying the pick. I am just talking about judging the quality of the pick based on the quality of what's available. There are lots of reasons why Jackson was a terrible pick and it's mostly related to force-fitting a bad scheme. But in the end... do you realize that in the 2009 draft class, no player in the first round has been to more than one pro bowl? Only 5 have even made one pro bowl. That's a shitty, shitty class.

If we passed up on first round graded skill players, then shame on us. There weren't many of them, so we took a guy who projects to be a very good lunch pail guy. And apparently the Jaguars and Eagles went the same route, even though they were just as uncertain about their QB situation.

I think Sanders Commings was our 2nd best pick. I really like his ability and agree with what Holthus said about him defending TE's.

We needed a long, tough SOB who is a physical player to match up on TE's and I think he'll do a fine job doing that.

I'm not gonna judge the C, FB or DE since I have never seen them play or payed attention to them.

No, no one does. and for a team like the chiefs that had very few starting spots available, to add Fisher, and Kelce alone, make this a productive draft. I too, even not as a chiefs fan, went WTF when they selected Kniles Davis.

Facts are facts.

Tyson Jackson is far down the list in that 2009 first round.

Another fact: you have jack shit to contribute to discussion around here other than ripping on people with opinions.
