If you watch a comedy, go with The Office. You won't regret it.
Your favorites list is pretty identical to mine. I'd definitely take a look at The Shield and The Killing.

Blackadder is on Netflix now. I don't know if you'll get into it. I enjoyed it as a teen, and my 16 year old son enjoyed it, but my attention wandered when he was watching it this Summer.
