Daniel Sorenson

I just hope the kid makes the roster. He's flashed some good stuff, seems to be around the ball a lot and well , he's 6'2" 208 and pretty fast for his size.

Talk has it Tyler Bray may go to IR. What's up with that ? I would rather just cut Murray and move on.

If we are talking about a Ryan defense, it's not hard to believe he could become Jim Leonhard. Another white guy. Except bigger and faster, hopefully more durable. But Leonhard built most of his success through leadership and smarts. That's not going to happen overnight but it sounds like he has a really good work ethic off the field. I don't trust the Chiefs' ability to evaluate talent right now, but the idea that a few preseason games in a rookie season are what we measure against... that's just silly.

Uh... he's a rookie and all we've seen are a few preseason games.

I am hoping that the preseason games don't outweigh an overall evaluation that mixes potential, college film, training camps, practices when you're talking about a rookie. He's a rookie. Can we please stop with the importance we put on preseason games?

That's not what you said.

You made a blanket statement regarding rookie treatment of CP, which is not the issue.

The issue is the guy got toasted. Not that hes not a rookie who isnt ready to start.. cmon man.

Not to mention, why the **** are people all worked up about this guy?

I think people are worked up over him because he's ****in awful, and still somehow made the 53. I don't think thats a great sign for the Chiefs depth, especially at a position that was already weak outside of one player.

I don't have an opinion on Sorensen. But it is WAY too soon to know what we have. If the problems are mostly mental, as people say here, then give him time to learn the game. This is a really complicated defense for a safety to learn. He apparently has a really good film room work ethic.
The problems aren't mental. He's just bad, that's all.

With his lack of range and poor tackling ability, he's got to be on cue on every single ****ing down. He can't get away with any sloppy move out there. It's the same exact problem that Kendrick Lewis had, only at SS instead of FS.

Normally I wouldn't give a shit about a guy like Bronson, but he CLEARLY outperformed Sorensen.

It's not a matter of having enough guys to play strong and free spots, either. Abdullah and Berry are both interchangeable at those spots. We can make shit work.

Pretty much this. Sorensen seems to lack any physical presence whatsoever, hell Kendrick Lewis was a better hitter. On top of that, Sorensen sucks in coverage too and doesn't have the ability to turn and run with a WR if he has to, he also didn't show that he had the instincts to makes plays on routes that are underneath him. How the hell did he make the roster?

He's also probably the worst tackler in our entire secondary.

He looks softer than Phillip Gaines is right now, that's hard to do, lol. At least Gaines attempts to put big hits on guys when he has them lined up.
