They are when you're pretending that Cooper and Sorenson are going to be week 1 starters, or that "inexperience" is a serious concern with Gaines and Peters.

Sorensen is gonna play a pretty fair number of snaps I'd imagine, but I'm more concerned with the corner opposite peters and the nickel corner spot.

The only thing I'm concerned with is Gaines' health. Between Gaines, Nelson, and Russell, I think we have to most talented #'s 2-4 that we've had in the past 3 years.

Like I said before, talent >>> experience.

That's why we have Al Harris and Emmit Thomas.

Really a pretty good play all around there. Someone did well to get a hand in the passing lane (and tipping a pass from a damn tall QB) and Streater did a real nice job of adjusting to the deflected pass and maintaining control after the big hit.

Lots to like in that play.

Think that either Jones or King can't tell really.

▪ Fourth-round rookie Eric Murray rang in camp with the first big hit, as he laid out receiver Rod Streater on a short route and stood over him for a brief second. Murray has spent most of his time in camp as a second-string safety, but he earned some first-string reps with Ron Parker on Monday.

▪ Outside linebacker Dee Ford had a nice day. The defense racked up its fair share of sacks during the 11-on-11 period, and it can be tough to tell who should get credit for a sack because quarterbacks are not live, but Ford was in the vicinity for at least two sacks and maybe even a few more. His first step remains explosive and working against a very good right tackle like Mitch Schwartz — who flashed a strong, violent punch — everyday will only help his development as a pass rusher.

▪ Rookie left guard Parker Ehinger moves well laterally on running plays. He also seems to keep his head on a swivel in pass protection.

Have a buddy at camp. His biggest takeaway is that Streater looks much better than any WR we've had at WR2 since Andy's been here.

Good to hear.
