Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

The only other thing I would put on it would be a bi-pod, but with your setup as it stands it looks like you are out of room.

Thanks.
My favorites are my Garand (Accurate SOB) and my 1911. The 870 Remington is fun to blow shit up with, and the Saiga .308 is sweet, too, but needs a scope to do it justice. I got my 10/22 when I was 13, and it consistantly knocks sparrows down at 100 yards. It is a honey of a gun, and a lot of fun to shoot. Next up: AR-15, Sig 556, and AK-74/47. Only about $3500 in gear minus the goodies. |

My dad bought a seperate AR10 with the 24" Bull barrel just because he wanted a .308. He will be happy to know that his 15 lower can now do .308. |

I have a couple of spare bi-pods laying around and if you are interested, I will give one to you. You could probably pull your light out and mount the bi-pod and use it at the range just to get your red dot zeroed in. Makes a big difference for zeroing purposes, trust me. Let me know if you would like one.

I don't know whats up with my ruger p95. It wasnt ejecting right, sometimes not at all, not loading correctly. I spent time cleaning it everywhere. It shot a full magazine just fine. I took it out again today without cleaning it (only 16 rounds and one week in between shooting) and it was doing the same things over and over again. I used Winchester and tul. Bout to trade it in for something bigger.
I shot ten times better with the sks today from 100 yards. We sighted in my brothers Saiko 7mm today. Now that gun is sweet. On a side note, my 1st shot with my 9mm was perfect. Hit a cowhead from a 100 yards. |

Thanks I will get some pics up next time I shoot it. I absolutely HAVE to get a scope on it, butit takes a special side mount rail due to the clip load being on top of the gun. It is the most accurate rifle I have ever shot with iron sights. I can knock down 5-6 out of 8 bowling pins from 100 out with quick fire. If I take my time, 8/8 is not a rare occurance. The kick is a bitch, it is expensive to shoot (30-6) and it is touchy when it comes to clips. It is the love of my life, well, until I shot a SCAR or a Sig. |

No problem, they are just taking up space here and I am more than happy to free up some storage space around here. I originally purchased them for my AK but the legs were too short with the AK's 30 round mag. I found they would work for my AR but just barely for my shooting position using a 30 round mag. With a 20 rnd mag they worked really good. If you find they are too short for you just go and get a 20 rnd mag to get your red dot zeroed.
