Mickey wrote a book a couple of years ago entitled: A Step and a Half. Nice, easy read about his life, struggles and triumph.

I honestly haven't been keeping up on the rumors, and I know this is totally "fed ex guy level", but I read on facebook just now that Billy to Seattle is basically done. The guy who wrote about it is apparently friends with Greg Genske? who is fatboy's agent I guess.
I wouldn't put a ton of stock into it, but anyone see names floating around in the rumor mill on how this would actually play out?? I can't imagine Billy has any value in bringing back a good prospect...certainly not any of their young arms. Edit: Sorry...just read through the last few pages and didn't see it discussed today. So now it appears I'm just THAT GUY giving substance to an internet rumor that has a stong possibility of being garbage. |

So, let's just say that Butler to SEA is a real possibility. SEA would have to trade us prospects, which we would then turn around and trade for a MLB RF'r? If not, I don't get what we would be trying to achieve, because SEA doesn't have any MLB ready bats to trade to the Royals.

Wildcard competitor trades a player to the team it is chasing in the wildcard? Weird indeed. Just based on that, I'd imagine the price might be even a little higher than it normally would be. I suspect the Royals would get prospects back - probably something a little farther away from MLB. And the Royals would absolutely have to do it as step 1 of a two-step plan that involves bringing in another bat. Butler has been a big disappointment this year, but he still has more upside from a planning perspective than just deciding to go with Ibanez/Dyson in some form of platoon.
