Yes, we scored 6 runs in the 8th last night, but I'm guessing you probably watched the game and realize the smoke and mirrors of that offensive 'onslaught'. It was mostly predicated on luck and poor defense by the Twins. I think we hit one ball hard that inning. And prior to last nights 6 run inning, we had scored 4 runs in like our last 35 innings prior to that. Could Ned have made some better decisions. Probably. But I have zero confidence the offense would have won it in the next couple innings based on their recent body of work. |

What ****ing excuses you idiot? There was not a single ****ing pitcher left in the bullpen. Go waste Holland for two innings tonight and then see the major bitching when he isn't available until Sunday or Monday night.

Kimbrel has had multiple 4 out outings this year.
Mejia has had several 2 IP outings (as the closer) and other 1.1 IP outings SIX ****ING TIMES IN SEPTEMBER OF 2013...ONE ****ING MONTH...SIX ****ING TIMES...MARIANO RIVERA HAD 1.1 INNINGS OR MORE IN HIS APPEARANCES... so don't give me this bullshit that closers can only pitch one ****ing inning it's a dumb arbitrary NONE FORWARD WAY of thinking as a manager |

at all we have 3 ****ing guys that can close games on this team I CARE ABOUT WINNING GAMES THAT WE SHOULD WIN. EACH GAME COUNTS. USING BRUCE CHEN IN THE 10TH INNING IS BASICALLY FORFEITING. IT'S PLAYING WITH FIRE AND EXPECTING NOT TO BE BURNED. IT'S PLAYING POKER WITH YOUR CARDS SHOWING. IT'S ****ING DUMB. NED BUTCHERED THIS GAME. THERE ARE NO EXCUSES. THIS GAME IS 100% ON NED. BUTCHERED It's too late in the season, with too much at stake...to worry about Greg Holland not being available for a day or two when a win is within reach. Same with Wade Davis. Winning today means a hell of a lot more than maybe not having a closer in a game we may or may not need a closer in tomorrow or the next day. If you think otherwise, you are wrong. This isn't opinion. This is fact. |

I've actually never been a huge fan of going multiple innings with the closer. I'd rather have the guy come in and air it out for an inning. But it depends on the guy. Rivera could do it with his eyes closed. It always seemed like Hillman would run Soria out there for extra outs, and it failed half the time.

LITERALLY
THE BEST CLOSER THAT WILL EVER GRACE THIS UNIVERSE WAS USED, ALL OF THE ****ING TIME, FOR 4 OUTS OR MORE IN IMPORTANT GAMES Last year...SIX TIMES IN SEPTEMBER 1 TIME IN AUGUST 0 TIMES IN ANY OTHER MONTH and that makes total ****ing sense BECAUSE NOW EVERY GAME MATTERS If this were May 10th would I be mad? No. Not really. You have to manage your bullpen in ****ing May. ON AUGUST 28TH 3 ****ING DAYS BEFORE ROSTERS EXPAND and you guys are wondering why I'm mad? GOOD RIDDANCE |

Also, he is not currently conditioned to pitch more than one inning. That may not make sense to some of you, but baseball guys and anyone whose ever played baseball professionally understands. |

In August or September? When you don't have certain guys available and you burn another guy on 1 batter? Yeah. I use Herrera for the 8th and 9th and then Holland for the 10th (if necessary) and the 11th (if necessary) after that...whatever. If our offense can't score 1 run in 12 outs then a loss is a loss. It happens. Bruce Chen in the 10th? Bad ****ing managing 100 times out of 100. |

Dellin Betances...
the best reliever in the game NOT NAMED WADE DAVIS PITCHES 2 ****ING INNINGS ALL OF THE TIME and he still throws 98 and he still has that nasty unhittable slurve in that 2nd inning but I guess he's just an anomaly |

They should just hire me as the manager.
I'd lead us to a division championship and then immediately make Yordano Ventura my postseason gap / 2 inning guy / spot starter in a big game (if needed)... Our bullpen of Ventura/Herrera/Davis and Holland would literally be unhittable. Ventura projects long term as the best closer in baseball...he could dial it up to 102 for an inning or two at a time. Shields/Vargas/Duffy with Guthrie who could be used if we were up 3-1 and needed to get the other 3 a rest day if plenty of fine and I think Ventura would be a killer ****ing weapon coming out of the bullpen...and Guthrie wouldn't fit that roll. But Ned won't do that...because Ned is ****ing dumb. |

I just can't stand losing winnable baseball games due to the manager. I never blame the manager unless he deserves it...and, without doubt, he deserves 100% of it tonight. You don't manage like it's May in a pennant race. This was May managing. And it is infuriating. |
