Ventura needs to be put on a 5-ip limit. He's too frail to withstand 200 IP and if we make t to postseason he will be in the DL. Just let Madson or Young take an IP from the guy is each start. Or make Hoch his personal 6th IP chauffeur

You can't have your #1 starter go 5 innings by design.

I'd like to say **** YOU to ESPN.

While watching recap of this game on SportsCenter, the only Royals highlights they show were Esky's double and Ventura staring down Trout, while showing all of the Angel's.

Of course they fellated the Tigers before.

No big deal. They'll be forced to talk about us again when we make another deep post-season run.

They're pissed the Royals won the pennant because it means lower WS ratings.

Stick an IV in Ventura to get him hydrated between innings and he will be fine.

Will MLB let the players do that?

Well, I actualy think the D'backs have this as a plan. Then again, their no.1 is Josh Collmenter, a long relief pitcher.

you have to remember he spent last year praying the Royals would do bad so that he could "I told you so" everyone ... and then after watching them breakout in the postseason he decided 82 wins was a good prediction for 2015 ... so he clearly has no idea what he's watching.

His opinion is meaningless.

Good point. He is looking to a 64 win team for advice on how to handle our 23 year old ace.

With some proper managing, Ventura could be like Collmenter...0-2 after allowing 19 hits and 8 runs in 9 innings.

Because of cramps?

He needs to grow up and take care of himself/properly hydrate and prepare for starts. That has nothing to do with frailty.

Just was thinking the same thing, though I think you can just say "in general", is he displays a pretty significant lack of acumen on just about everything in life.

so far Ned has handled the bullpen perfectly ... which shouldn't be hard considering our Cyborg bullpen ... and Frasor looks real good thus far, too.
