He's a competent, winning QB who's led his team to the playoffs multiple years now. He's the perfect stop gap QB.

If there's a market for QB's like Jay Cutler, Jimmy Garapolo and Kaepernick, there's absolutely a market for Alex Smith as he's PROVEN to be better than those guys.

I seriously don't get the zero trade value camp. In fact, I seriously doubt ANY QB who has racked up 4 winning seasons in a row could be said to have zero trade value. I'd say he may be more appealing to some of these QB needy teams than a rookie. Especially a team with good offensive tools already in plac.

Teams are going to give exactly what for a guy we think less of then a 37 year old Romo? No. If we sign Romo, Alex gets cut. Guaranteed. Maybe, MAYBE, we get a conditional 5th but that's assuming trading him ****s our cap less than simply cutting him, or at the very least, it's comparable

We ALL want them to draft a QB. But taking a risk on Romo is very risky due to his health. But at least he isn't freaking out in the pocket and taking off too early. Alex is a train wreck in the pocket to say the least.

In a realistic scenario, Smith would be the top QB on the market today and would have even higher demand than Romo.

You're making up some bullshit about the Chiefs actually signing Romo, which we all know they won't do because Smith is a more valuable QB than Romo who breaks a ****ing collar bone while taking a shit.
