No, unlike you, I don't hang on my every word. Once I read that quote, I was actually pretty good with what I wrote.

Yeah, three years after the fact.

Way to be a man.

You're just reading stat lines.

How many playoff games has he won? Why wasn't his offense able to score a single point in the second half of the NFC Championship Game this year?

The man has been an NFL starter for 5 years on a very talented team, yet he's only one a single playoff game. During that time, his division hasn't exactly been loaded with great teams every year, either. The Bucs have had their share of poor seasons, the Saints, despite their 7-9 record, were a disaster last year and Carolina has two straight 7-9 seasons.

Furthermore, players, especially QB's, are rated by their playoff and Super Bowl wins. To date, Matt Ryan has as many playoff wins as Alex Smith.

I don't know how anyone can call him "Elite".

Stats with context, that's how we improve.
did you mean to type Smith instead if Ryan?

Anyone else surprised the Saints finished 7-9 last year? It felt a lot lower than that.

You have to use more than SB's and playoff wins to justify players IMO, otherwise Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow start looking the same as Matt Ryan and we all know that isn't true.

Although, when you start talking about whether a guy is "elite" you have to take that into account.

It's interesting to see that when Flacco has been bad in the playoffs, he's truly been ****ing awful. His first good game was his 6th career playoff game against, of course, your KC Chiefs.

Flacco was truly great this last post-season, though.

Ryan has played in a total of 5 post-season games, and, while not particularly good, he was better through 5 than Joe was, and this suggests strongly that Flacco benefited from A.) being on a stronger team and B.) competing against weaker competition.

The only 2 saints games I remember watching are that, the end of the redskins game, and their game against San Fran.

I'm interested to see Flacco in the next year or two as he's now the focal point there. There isn't any Ed Reed, or Ray to lean on and that defense, while I think will still be good, isn't what it once was.

But lets get real, as long as Newsome is the Gm there, they're gonna be competitive. That dude just keeps chugging along.

Actually though, the dirt here in KC is pretty awesome compared to back home in the Ozarks.
