Warming up counts, its actually a large part of a relief pitchers workload, and why you don't just willy-nilly have guys warming up in the 4th or 5th at the first sign of trouble.

Get off the Wade Davis complain train, folks. Frasor is really the only valid criticism here.

I have to call bullshit on this.

If we did everything you wanted Yost to do, we're still less than 50/50. 99.5% is just absurd hyperbole.

Guthrie gets most of the blame for this loss.

So... They send Hendrix down to AA the day after pitching a 6 inning shut out... Reactivate sucky Scott Downs... bring Chen in in the 10th after only 3 appearances this month.. and 2 out of 3 of those terrible... I'm at a loss.

Best season in 29 years and we're trying to give it away. I swear, it's conspiracy. Ned is on NY & Det payroll

**** the long and middle relievers. If we have to use any of those dipshits, at all, even once, in a playoff game and Ned is ****ing reeruned.

If the dipshit had any ****ing common sense he'd drop Ventura out of the rotation if we make the playoffs and use him as our gap / 2 inning reliever where he can dial his stuff up over 100 and then we'd have, literally, an unhittable bullpen with Shields/Vargas/Duffy and Guthrie if we needed a 4th starter.

But **** face dipshit dingle **** would never be smart enough to figure that out

That's on Dayton for having Chen as an option.

I think people are just assuming we were destined to score in the 11th.

Its easy to imagine that we were not going to score again until the 13th.

The primary reason for the loss is Guthrie. Even granting that Frasor should have come back out, Yost is way, way the **** down the list on who to blame.

Al -

how in GOD'S ****ING NAME would we be less than 50/50 to win a TIED GAME, HEADING TO THE 9TH INNING, with HOLLAND and then DAVIS (if we don't win it in the 9th)?????

we have LITERALLY 6 ****ing outs to score a run...like 95% of the time

if we're at home

and we're tied

heading into the 7th inning

we are literally HEAVY FAVORITES to win against ANY ****ING TEAM WE EVER PLAY this year

HEAVY

FAVORITES

We struggled all series with a garbage opponent, ad frankly we should be thrilled we took 2/3. Josh Willingham is now 1-14 last 4 games (0-4 tonight) so I'd blame him more today than Ned for sure. No?

Guthrie gets most of the blame for this loss.
Guthrie was crap, but the Royals tied the game in the bottom of the 7th. You can't really blame Guthrie when the loss came after that.

Obviously, if Davis is not available and Downs is apparently not available, the majority of the blame goes to Yost for mismanaging the bullpen. If you've got two guys unavailable, you have to let Frasor and/or Herrera and/or Holland and/or Bueno pitch more. None of those guys threw more than 15 pitches.

Completely inexcusable. Whether you agree with the decision that Davis was "not available" or not, you can't disagree that given the circumstances, Yost screwed the proverbial pooch tonight.
