You guys gave the Chiefs back pick 91, but even if they win the appeal they are still going to lose a draft pick in 2016. I'd take away their own 5th at a minimum. At least that would fall in line with historical punishment for the offense (5th and 7th). That should keep the draft relatively "realistic" going forward.

I think it's best to leave the Chiefs picks the way they are until we have some news. If a player is selected in the CP mock before the NFL announces the forfeiture of that pick, then whatever. Asterisk the player, or pretend the pick didn't happen and move on. It's one player. ****, I remember a few years when we'd start the mock before comp picks were announced. There were several years when we went all 7 rounds without any comp picks. You can imagine some of the insane talent that ended up falling to people in the late rounds. We'll be fine keeping things as is. |

I didn't feel inclined to give an opinion given it appeared the minds were made up no matter what anyone said. I thought it a bit silly to give the pick back given the league's history of not rescinding decisions. However, if it DOES happen that the Chiefs actually win the appeal, then they WILL definitely still lose a pick in 2016, guaranteed. If you want to keep it realistic, as was the original post on the subject, then the Chiefs should still lose a pick. It's really that simple: the Chiefs will lose a 2016 draft pick, so pick one for them to lose that is realistic (either a 4th or 5th), and move on.

Funny you mention that. I too like my Rams draft a whole lot better than my Colts draft. I feel like I have so many options for the Rams, but see the guys I want fall off the board before the Colts draft.

After three rounds here are my thoughts on the Lions and Bills drafts thus far. Rankins gives the Lions a young stud DT to learn from Ngata and eventually replace him. Jaylon Smith was just too good to pass up for the Lions in the second round. Hopefully the knee is sound. Beavers is some much needed help at OT for the Leos.
Buffalo let Mario Williams go so some help getting to the QB was vital. Ogbah can help in that department. Kenny Clark gives Rex a DL who offers some scheme versatility. Garnett might be the best G in the draft and most likely will be long gone by the middle of the 3rd round come draft day. |

Seattle Seahawks select Nick Martin, OL Notre Dame
Seattle is still in need of OLine help. They grab a versatile offensive lineman here with Nick Martin. He can play either C or G which are both needs for Seattle. |

With the 99th pick in the 2016 CP Mock Draft, the Denver Broncos select
Tyler Higbee, TE, Western Kentucky Higbee is a top tier pass catcher in the TE class and has good size (6'5", 249#) to excel as both a blocker and receiver. Higbee has a lot of experience lined up in the slot and will contribute heavily in the two TE sets that Kubiak likes to run along with last year's pick Jeff Heuerman, coming off of offseason injury. Higbee adds speed over the middle and down the seam in a sure-handed package. The Broncos weren't planning on addressing this position early, but rather than spend a pick on a lesser player, they add another option for the passing game to create mismatch problems for opposing defenses |

With the 100th pick in the 2016 CP Mock Draft, the Cleveland Browns select
Cyrus Jones, CB Alabama With Justin Gilbert busting, Tramon Williams fading and Joe Haden ailing, the Browns are in a serious pickle at corner. Cyrus Jones is one of the most underrated players in the draft due to his smaller stature, and perhaps in part because of the stigma of the pro translation of recent Alabama football players. Jones is highly competitive and aggressive in coverage, showing great ball skills and toughness. He is also electric as a returner, filling the void left behind in the punt game by Travis Benjamin's departure to San Diego. |
