Alexander Douglas Smith: 2016

We wouldn't we want to roll out another Alex Smith thread?!?!? Listen, for the Clay haters, this will probably be the thread that gets him banned. He can't help himself, right? Let's go!!!

First off, as many of you know, I have been very critical of Alexander Douglas Smith. Wasn't happy with the trade, HATED the extension, and have burned him to the ground from the beginning. So ****ing sick of the retread QB's.

So, that said Alex Smith is my Daddy. I mean, I just have to own that at this point. Here's why. He's never had continuity in a system. That guy had a new offensive coordinator just about every year until Jim Harbaugh showed up. And he flashed a little bit. That said, it sure looks like San Fran traded their best QB to us in favor of some douche that's starting some thing all over the league, while riding the bench to a guy named Blaine Gabbert.

Alex is now in his 4th year of the same system and it's showing. He's getting better. Why is he my daddy now all of a sudden though? Because he proved that he's more than just a game manager. He made some ****ing incredible throws against the Chargers last week. The back shoulder Maclin throw, the Maclin throw where Jeremy was almost killed, The Spencer Ware throws. Twice he hit him downfield (like, way more than 8 yards!), and then finally the Kelce throws.

People can give Spencer Ware a lot of credit, he is deserving of it after the monster game he had. Make no mistake about it though, Alexander Douglas Smith personally put this team on his back and willed them to victory. 1 play at a time. 1 throw at a time. He's a leader, and it reflected in the locker room after that game. They trust Alex now. They trust that he has what it takes to will them to victory in any game.

Alex isn't just a game manager anymore. He's a game changer, and a leader. This team could go 6-10 this year and I'll say the same thing. He has the ability and he's proven it. Now let's see where they go with it. I'm officially a YUGE Alex fan. What do you think? I'll take your comments off air.

Reid probably did so under orders from the ownership.

At least some of you are finally waking up. Time to get rid of the avatar though Run. That overrated dude is long gone in 3 months.

As for Smith, the announcers yesterday insulted him in the biggest (and saddest) way possible. They said the Chiefs have to play small ball. How pathetic is that. And the sad part is, unlike baseball, "manufacturing" offense simply doesn't work when the games actually matter or against competent teams. The Chiefs' strategy of HIDING the QB is a ****ing embarrassment in a day and age when the goal of every franchise in football should be to flaunt its franchise QB. That is why the Chiefs will never sniff being relevant any time soon.

It really is a let down that in year four this team is not worthy our admiration. Despite how bad the defense was tonight the offense is the problem.
Smith is the problem.
Reid has been successful before, Alex has not. Tha pretty much wraps up any argument.

You ****ing homer, lol.

What we need is the next Dak Prescott. Never thought that kid would play like he is in the NFL right now. Is this Domer pissant that? And, do we have the coaching staff to actually take advantage of hidden QB talent in college right now?

Dude is 6'4" and 230 lbs. He's got the mobility of Alex Smith but his arm is WAY ****ing better. He's calm in the pocket and doesn't run unless he has to.

I wish we could get Kizer or Watson.

It's a negative 50 thousand % chance we trade up 5 spots, no less all the way to 1.

Seriously.

You know what the problem is? We'll play just good enough to get around 14-17 in the draft, and we will sit there as a team or two trade up in front of us to nab legit QB prospects.

And the front office will mumble something about draft position and pick value and the fanbase will swallow it and say it just didn't work out and talk about how anyone available would have been a huge reach and too risky, and then talk about how whatever guy they draft will help fill holes RIGHT NOW.

Rinse, repeat.
