This is pretty much baseball in a nutshell. You can do everything right and it still doesn't make sense. Ned has actually managed this like a playoff game for once, and every single move has backfired.

Scoring 5 runs for this team is like hitting the lottery for runs. To think that we will punch any additional runs at this point is crazy. We have shot our wad, and have fooled no one with our best pitching.

I was just thinking that if you're that picky about the zone, it could be costly. In all honestly, it should probably be about 10-7 Royals with how many scoring opportunities we've blown. Still hard to believe this bullpen got hit around like this.

When you pull your starter early... which was the right move, someone is going to have to pick up the slack. Herrera and Davis can't pitch 6 innings.

At some point these other guys have to work and eat innings successfully.
