Why? If you give up pressure/hits on too great a percentage of plays, you suck. I don't care about Fisher's good plays if he's giving up too much pressure. If you have 7 good plays and 3 bad ones as an OL you are not doing a good job.

We'll see what it boils down to but PFF didn't give a -4.9 for no reason. Hard to suck that bad.

PFF is using 5 plays to talk about Fisher's poor play. The Chiefs played 75 snaps. Stats don't give context. They make judgment calls on a guy like Alex Smith who we know holds on to the ball long and yesterday held on to the ball really, really long on many plays. I'm guessing they don't factor in that at the end of a 10 minute drive in the altitude, you're probably going to start getting sloppy with your technique.

If you post gaps, be sure to provide context. When it happened. And that that was one play out of an extremely high 75 snaps that we're looking at. What I saw yesterday was that Fisher played an effective first half. He started to tail as he stayed on the field for a while and his technique started to look sloppy at times, as with that hit on Alex Smith where he looked gassed more than anything. In some cases, he seemed to lose his footing which was a problem everyone seemed to have.

Maybe stamina is the symptom of a bigger problem. That seemed to be the case much moreso yesterday than it was lack of ability.

They most certainly are not. There were 11 snaps where his pass blocking was not up to snuff.

They grade on run blocking, too, and Fisher's poor run blocking is on display in the other thread.

But even if it was only five snaps...you cannot give up 5 QB hits in one game as a LT. That's too much. A good LT gives up that many in an entire YEAR.

Personally I think -4.9 might be a little harsh. But...there is no way Fisher played a good game as some have said. No freaking way.

PFF should probably wait to post grades when they re-watch with the all 22 angle but people want instant reaction.

With OT it is obvious what they are trying to accomplish on most plays.

He did so better than Matt Kalil, LT, -5.0

Breakdown: Kalil was victimized by Chandler Jones all afternoon. Even when he lined up on the right side of the field goal unit, he could not hide from Jones and was responsible for the aforementioned blocked field goal.

Signature Stat: Kalil allowed 6 total pressures, including 2 sacks, earning a -5.1 pass blocking grade for the day.

He racked up that bad score in 18 less offensive plays.
