Sure Brady's scuuuuured
The deadly combo of Incomplete and Little Richard sure put the fear of god into an opponent.

It is hard to run a no huddle offense when you make all of the checks at the line on the road.

Indy also had an easier schedule, and San Diego was tied with Denver.
Actually, look at the 8 teams with the easiest schedules (ATL, CIN, IND, DEN, SD, PIT, OAK, BUF). What do they all have in common? They all were forced to play the terrible, terrible Chiefs, bringing their SOS down. Some had to do it twice. |

Broncos were 6-0 in the division - a sad cast of characters indeed. Broncos had 7 other wins: - 2 against 10 win BAL and CIN - 1 against 8 win PIT - 3 against 7 win CAR, NOS, TB - 1 against 5 win CLE Denver had 3 losses to NE, HOU and ATL - 2 of those on the road, and they were a combined 37-11. Denver wound up with the most wins in the AFC, that's all that matters and teams like HOU, ATL, NE - they all played their share of spare teams too. And, they all failed to win their own share of big matchups. Patriots lost to AZ, BAL, SEA and SF... the friggin Cards in NE, BAL before their rash of injuries and then 2 legit contenders in the NFC. So, they didn't crush all the big teams either. Houston? Lost to Packers, Patriots, Vikings & Colts... with the Jags and Lions taking them to OT. So, they lost to some big teams too. Atlanta? Same deal there, but they lost to the Saints, Panthers and Bucs. Of all the big teams at play here - the Falcons had the worse losses compared to HOU, DEN and NE. But, you guys run with this however you like... The road to New Orleans goes through Denver now for the AFC.

Sure, Knowmo. Keep telling yourself that Assweiler was a potential 1st round pick.
Did you know that the Chiefs drafted Jimmy Wilkerson in the 6th round some years ago with the knowledge that had he stayed in school he could have been a 1st rounder? The Packers grabbed Tori Gurley, WR in the 7th round from South Carolina with the knowledge that had he stayed in school beyond his SOPHOMORE year, teams would have drafted him in the first. Where are those guys now? |
