Being at the end of a sentence has nothing to do with it. In this case specifically, "than" is generally accepted both ways, though "I" has always felt more right to me in situations like this since there is an implied clause.

I guess it does go both ways with than. I've always gone with the idea as well that taking the other person out of the sentence helps determine which to use.

The passing game that everyone around here hates also means that our Oline doesn't have to hold their blocks very long.

Romo would stand in the pocket and make those plays that Alex is missing.

Anythings possible, Smith certainly bails sooner rather than later.

1. Will Andy Reid change his offense to fit Romo? Dink/Dunk is not Romo's game.

I don't support either idea.

If Romo is released, I can support the idea of signing him, but we need to draft a QB early.

But, I also have no illusions about any of this.

Alex Smith is our QB for at least next season, and probably more.

You kids are funny... my comment was made with a view on 2017 and beyond. If I were going to roll dice on one of those 2, I'd roll them on Cutler as Romo is too brittle. In their careers, yes Romo has been better, but we're not talking monumental levels of greater success. Please continue to run with that comment however you like.
