Eric Fisher, LT: -4.9

Breakdown: Fisher was tasked with blocking Demarcus Ware for most of the game, Fisher had a rough time surrendering three hits and two hurries (though not all to Ware). Also stood out for his inability to make effective cut blocks at times – see 9:29 and 7:30 of the first quarter for a pair of examples.

Signature Play: 4Q, 1:54 – Beaten outside by Ware for a blindside hit and near sack-fumble on Alex Smith.

Demarcus Ware, DE, +1.6

Breakdown: Had some discipline issues with two third-down offside penalties, but was otherwise as disruptive as we’ve come to expect. Picked up three hits and three hurries, with a particularly strong final drive beating Eric Fisher four times in game’s final three minutes.

Signature Play: 3Q, 6:18 – Used a spin move effectively to get inside and land a hit on Smith.

Is that an improvement from last week?

We had our pick of any and all dumpster fires in the entire world.

We choose the most AIDS-y one possible. Fisher's dumpster is full of LJ's used condoms and Belcher's crushed beer cans.

I'm not sure what you're saying here. Are you saying we had solid blocking that whole 10 minute drive or that we didn't?...

And now we know how full of shit PFF is with this. This is the dumbest shit I've ever seen. Demarcus Ware was okay yesterday. He wasn't "disruptive." That's just hilarious. Eric Fisher did not have a "rough time" yesterday. .

Yeah, because you always do a good job of showing the good plays along with the bad ones.

Fisher had a good game. He seemed to get worse toward the 4th quarter, which may have been due to playing in the altitude or because he's not fully conditioned yet. Or maybe he's just not a 4th quarter player. Who knows. But the dialogue that he was dominated by Ware is completely false.

With OL it's just the bad that you need to see.

If you are giving up too many pressures/hits it doesn't matter what you do the rest of the time. You are a liability and need replaced.

PFF doesn't seem to put any weight on how long the QB holds the ball during a given drive. Nor does it factor in that elite QBs like Brady and Manning are unbelievable at sliding around the pocket to find their spaces.

Don't get me wrong. The offensive line wasn't good yesterday. Hudson played well. Fisher played mostly well then tailed a little toward the end. While Alex has escaped pressure with his legs several times he also doesn't do them any favors by holding onto the ball and not really using his pocket.

It does actually. It assigns sacks to QBs.

The Chiefs ran 75 plays yesterday. Almost double what Denver ran.

Giving up a few plays here and there is going to happen. And it doesn't come with the context that maybe some of the struggles toward the end were due to getting gassed. Even then, he wasn't a liability. At least we saw earlier in the game that the ability is there.
