I just answered it genius. I said the Broncos aren't good at evaluating talent. So no, he wasn't worth the pick and isn't going to be worth that pick going forward.

So you were wrong? Someone did want that 'damaged' player?

You were so sure he was falling out of the first round. You were wrong about that too?

He would be drafted in later rounds, probably around the same time as Heeney. Also, wrong about that one, correct? (Or are you going to now claim that Heeney will be drafted at the top of the second? BTW, we can take bets on that if you want)

I can't explain the actions of some team.

But I was wrong in thinking that all these teams knew what they were doing. What was I thinking??

Now, do you agree with me? Or are the Broncos good talent evaluators?

Seems like most everyone on this site believe the Broncos made the worst move in this division.

You said MOST evaluators had him going very late. That was a lie. Do you want to defend that?

Also, you don't understand how polls work. Because they didn't get the most votes for best pick does not mean they had the worst pick. You aren't very smart.

Yeah, I saw that thread. I also read the content of it. Did you?

Most in the thread think all the teams did well with their picks.

If your argument is that the Broncos got the 'worst' of the 4 players? Well, they did pick 23rd, while the other 3 picked 18 or higher. Kind of a dumb argument when you consider draft position.

Do I think Shane Ray was a Top 10 talent? No, I don't.

Do I think the Broncos traded up unnecessarily for him when they could have waited a few picks later and got him with their pick? Hard to say for sure (not knowing what other teams were gonna do), but probably.

Are the Broncos good evaluators of talent? In general, no. I can't remember being very impressed with many of their drafts in recent years or FA signings (exceptions with Sanders and Manning, of course).

Would I have liked to see the Chiefs take Ray at #18? No. He doesn't fit our system and we don't need him.

Is he a good fit for the Broncos? Time will tell. He will get every opportunity to shine being on the opposite side of Von Miller. I think there's a good chance he posts double digit sacks his rookie season.

But we shall see . . . . .
