Looking great for Golden State now in these playoffs. The Spurs are out, the Cavs just lost a top 20 player, and Mike Conley's face is broken.

I'm not sure why anybody would defend that awful call. Whatever contact there was didn't affect the shot, it was a complete bailout in that spot and it was ridiculously late. Guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

Mostly from an injury perspective in protecting the shooter and the ability to return to the floor. It's not normally called and it's taught as a measure to disrupt a shooter's timing.

It's not normally called a foul and I'm not really a fan of it being called there, but there was contact so I have no problem in the justification of the call.

The only teams left are new blood in one way or another. Pretty much everyone remaining hasn't been to the finals in almost 20+ years except the Cavs, and they've only been once in their franchise history. And many of these teams haven't made it since the 70's and beyond.

Grizzlies and Clippers have never been to the finals. Warriors haven't been since the 70's, been over 20 years since the Rockets did it.

I think the Pats get labeled as it, true or not, but the Spurs are absolutely a class organization. Just all the way around great franchise.

They have been excellent for the better part of 17 years. Winning 5 Titles and having he league's best winning % over that time. If that's not worthy of dynasty talk, nothing is. Im NOT a Spurs fan but they deserve respect for their accomplishments.

They're definitely a dynasty, that isn't exactly up for debate.

Definitely could be a fading one now, though, that Ginobili will probably retire and Parker is in decline. I assume Duncan will stick around considering he's still an elite player, but he might see the writing on the wall and retire too. Would be a surprise to see that, though, knowing how competitive he is.

I've seen some pretty interesting takes over the years, but saying a team that's won 5 titles isn't a dynasty is a new one. It doesn't matter who you're playing, a title is a title. You can only play the teams that are out there.
