Kelce is signed through 2021, Hunt and Mahomes are one year into their rookie contracts. Hill is entering his 3rd season. He will be the first one of them due for an extension. I expect him to get his deal done. The one who could be in danger would be Watkins in two years. That's when Hill would be getting paid, and if they have to choose between the two of them, then Hill could be the one in danger. I guess that it all depends on who is the most productive between now and then. But if Hill continues to improve, I can't see him walking.

You probably don't pay Hunt. He goes through his rookie deal then you string him along for a few more years before letting him go. You don't pay RBs big money unless they are HoF material. Hunt might be very good but i doubt he's HoF.

Indeed. And the year Hill is up for re-signing (2020), here are the cap figures:
Kelce: 10.5 million Berry: 13.5 million Fisher: 12 million Watkins: 21 million Chiefs are gonna have to make some hard decisions, particularly with Mahomes contract looming the year after. |

Looks like we get $7 million back if we cut Watkins in the last year of his deal.
They need to be all in the next 2 seasons. It’s time.

But yeah I think the idea is to hopefully get to the SB and win it in the next 2-3 years much like other teams with cheap QBs have. |

Suh, Talib and Peters are just temporary options. They’ll all be on different teams in 1 or 2 years tops.
We need to go all in like that next season in FA.

My first thought. Best DE and you don't pay him but shell out for a so-so WR. They already have 3 other good WR's. The only thing Brandon Cooks has is speed. Once you bump him on the LOS you throw his route off. Saints didn't miss him and neither did NE. Oh well, other peoples money!
