Our OL depth is complete shit, considering they did nothing to replace Fulton. We had better hope for no injuries. The OL is by far my least favorite unit on the team.

True enough. Of course, I should have worded it differently. What I was meaning was that we took the 5th year option on him and probably shouldn't have. Now, because of his injury, we can't cut him loose.

Maybe because he was a first round pick and in 4 years, he still hasn't produced. Injuries or not, 4 years wasted is 4 years wasted. We could have had Demarcus Lawrence, Jason Verrett or David Carr that all went shortly after him.

I don't know if I would characterize it as a mistake. But it was Veach who traded a pick for Erving so I can see where he's coming from. But I would rather call it what it is. He took a chance on him to see if new scenery would help. He's decided that Erving hasn't shown enough to warrant $9.6 Million, so he's not giving it to him. I think that was a wise business decision. The guy is worth what we are paying him as a backup for 2 years. Nothing more. We can always extend him if Veach wants to.....at much less than $9.6 million

He had a few super games - I can't help but believe that those were instances when he felt well. I think he will have a great season for two or three different reasons. I look forward to seeing him.

Ryan Hunter and Kahlil Mckenzie will help you overcome this worry. Place your faith in those men!

Jason Verrett lol? Sure a PB season to his name but otherwise he has been the Tony Moeaki of CBs.

And you could practically always had had better.

Ford doesn't look like he will have been a great pick but I'm sure Cowboys fans thought the same of Lawrence before last season.

I would at least give this upcoming season to Dee Ford to prove his worth.

One thing is for sure, Ford, Kpassagnon and Speaks won't all be hits. You've gotta have realistic expectations.

Those games were against inferior teams. Ford is soft, PERIOD. He is not the sharpest tool in the shed either and with no instincts. You can't teach instincts, either you get it immediately or you are "deer in the headlights" and he is Bambi for sure and in more than one way.

What you said here explains why he is a terrible run defender. Has no nose for the ball and can’t anticipate what direction the ball carrier is headed. Youre right, that just something you can’t teach. I don’t feel confident that he will ever be a good run defender.

I agree. If he was going to be all that he would have flashed heavily his rookie year. It's going on 5yrs and it is time cut bait that should have been cut 2yrs ago. But it was a Dorsey pick

I had no idea he was that tall. Why does he look smaller out there playing? I thought he was about 6'2. Maybe he has bad posture? Or because he is always on crutches?

6 foot 6.

Ford had major back surgery and now he is finally healthy. Since an entire side of his body is going numb- that might be a reason Ford was not tackling as well as he should.
