Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

When you put a band together the ones that work have a chemistry and share the same style and vision for the music they make.

This stuff is fun but in reality its an all star conglomeration of individuals that would be excellent at their particular craft but not a band.

Take Chicago for instance all excellent musicians committed to songwriter vocalist and guitar extraordinaire Terry Kath jazz rock styles. Kaths death in 1978 pushed the band to a more pop influence and while they still had some success were never the same in IMHO.

My vision is a one off.

It would never work in real life. I'm also assuming time travel is possible for this so...I'm expecting a large suspension of disbelief.

Be hard pressed to put a tighter more talented band than this.

Terry Kath monster face melting guitar solo in this video. No fancy pedals just The White Ray Charles making that Strat his bitch. Dude was a hair shaking metal guitar monster before there was metal. Jimi Hendrix quote that I've always heard was said to Chicago producer Jim Guercio "I'm pretty good, but man, that cat blows me away". Chicago died when Kath died. IMHO this guy is top 5 rock guitarists and high on the list if not number 1.

Its not like people are picking Dave Mustaine or something. Sure Dave is a fantastic guitar player and can write great music but he is an asshole.

People are picking Eddie Van Halen and his is an asshole as well, just not as big as Mustaine.
