I'm saying that when Jones finished him, it was NASTY. High kick and then doing what Jones does better than anyone I've ever seen... just smashed him with elbows and fists on the ground until he was legit not moving. The ref should have stopped it 3-4 punches earlier. It was a brutal finish. I don't usually feel bad during these fights, but goodness that was ugly. |

Jones landed 3 BOMBS after DC stopped moving. That's coulda been dangerous. I was worried DC was gonna be hurt worse than he was... and he was hurt pretty bad. |

I was actually pretty impressed with Woodley's restraint in the post match interview. He's getting his ass booed off - I would have said:
1.) See this belt? It's mine. 2.) See that dude's face? I destroyed it. 3.) Rinse, repeat with a helping of **** off. |

mccarthy was just fine. some of those last throws by jones didn't connect. that last one did and he was limp. in a fight like this...as big as it was...you want to give them every last possible chance to defend themselves and then stop when they can't. even after dc went to the ground he was still protecting himself enough imo. similar as to how they let it go w/ carwin and lesnar (and there are other examples). that fight could have been stopped the first rd easily but ref let them go, lesnar was still coherent defending himself. gotta let it go.

i will say this....most of these fighters don't make jack shit unless you're a top3 draw in the company and you get some ppv revenue sharing.
dana white rips off a lot of these guys for ****ing peanuts. $50k fight bonus?? lmao that's ****in chump change. a slap in the face to a lot of these guys. floyd wipes his ass with 50k (maybe not now w/ his irs back taxes issue - but you get what im saying). And boxing isn't shit anymore. other than ppl over 40yrs old living in vegas or the northeast region of the us, most general sports fans couldn't name 5 current boxers if they had to. the sport is pretty much dead. and if by some ridiculous miracle mcgregor happens to beat floyd (he won't), then that will be it for boxing. it would 100% kill the sport all together...at least from a spectators standpoint.

This is one of the best times for boxing ever. SOOO much amazing talent across a bunch of weight classes. Most general sports fans couldn't name 5 current boxes if they had to? Sure. That has also pretty much always been the case.

I don't want much UFC, but I had to watch this thing. It was amazing how scared he was to get on the ground. He just wanted to stand up right the entire time and take as little hits as possible. Woodley should join Money Mayweathers crew as the most boring defensive puss fighters in the world.

However, after 3 rounds, I even had to admit that Maia was tired from all the failed takedown attempts, and Woodley should have been able to finish the fight. So, by the end I could no longer defend him.
