Will KC get honest officiating if Oakland loses on Saturday?

There is a lot at stake for the NFL..and it's bid to manufacture a winner if Luck keeps his hot hand.

Chiefs game will be played on Sunday...the day after. If KC wins, they regain the #2 seed. Denver loses and the week #17 (vs. Raiders) game becomes less profitable.

If both Oakland and KC lose...its a win for the advertisers. Donkos stay relevant for another week.

Every scenario is a bad situation for The Chiefs. Unfortunately...in the era where profit trumps fair play...this is a legitimate concern.

The whole world saw the depths they will go for the Raiders in Mexico...

Wait, you mean to tell me the most penalized team in the league this year who broke a record for most penalties in a game is going to receive favors from the refs/NFL?

The Raiders have been the most penalized team 30+ years running.

That, with the horrible Houston officiating is why Oakland is leading the division.

The is no chance the review booth didn't see Houston set a first down. ZERO. Everyone watching that game saw it.
So surely you know about the league's conspiracy to make the Patriots the Superbowl winner following 9/11? You're all over the "Tuck Rule" call that took that playoff game from the Raiders and handed it to New England, right?

Right?

Nope. You're a goofy conspiracy theorist, so I'll help you out. Occam's Razor states that when there are multiple competing hypotheses, the simplest one is correct more often than not. Which is the opposite of what you're doing here. The simplest hypothesis here is that refs are just shitty and inconsistent. That's an exponentially simpler hypothesis than your claims of vast conspiracy to rig games. You should be able to see that. Yet you dismiss that simple hypothesis, and prefer complex absurd theories that would be impossible to actually implement. You're forgoing critical thought and falling down the rabbit hole simply because it presents a more exciting scenario. And the real kicker is that in doing so, you believe yourself to be more enlightened and observant of patterns that others are missing. When it truth you're the one not thinking outside of the box you've established for yourself.

So the three consecutive should have been 1st downs for Houston in the Mexico City game are just bad officiating?Especially when one play was ruled where the knee was down and not the spot of the ball?

Just asking because three days later Phil Simms in the Thanksgiving game said "well Jim everyone knows it's where the ball is,not the players body."

This has been discussed other "NFL is rigged" threads. The nutjob consensus seems to be that the big story was it being the last game for Ray Lewis, so sending him out winner = RATINGS GOLD.

Doesn't make much sense to me, especially since having young star Kaep win the SB would have been a much better marketing angle, and a new star they could hype going into the next season.

It was really one play that had the ball spotted really poorly, and that was on 3rd down. The refs spotted it a yard and a half short at a minimum. Texans should have challenged that spot, and they likely would have won the challenge. 4th down wasn't all that bad a spot, unless you are looking for a conspiracy. Watching the replay it looked pretty near spot on. Of course if you watched that whole game the refs were spotting the ball short on both teams most of the night. Raiders missed at least one first down because of the terrible spots.

Plus, like... Ray Lewis isn't exactly the most well-liked NFL player around, y'know?

The NFL only likes stars that toe the line and shut the **** up, hence Cam Newton being put in his place at the moment.

Is 'toe the line' some new code for murder?
