10.55 an hour after working at the same place for over 10 years. What a shit head employer he has.
So, he lived rent free and didn't have a car payment. Seems incredibly fishy that in 10 years he couldn't save up enough money to buy a piece of shit car to drive to work.

Same here. Now I'm just trying to glean what details I can from the responses. I'm sure I'll lose interest any sec

Tough to say without knowing more about the guy. If he had a kid or two, I can buy it. $10/hr doesn't go very far these days.

I dunno, there had to be other options, right? Over the course of a decade? ZERO $10/hr jobs off a public transportation route in the past decade, or not being able to save a few bucks a day over the course of a year or two, and he's either that stubborn or his girlfriend was just fine with him wasting 18 hours a day to make $80 before taxes?

She better not ask to borrow the car.

Positive.. I saw him and talked to him for a minute at his job last night. He works night shift and leaves work at 6am. I see him a lot of mornings before 8 on my way to work and have given him a ride the last few miles before.

He is 62. ...and hustles his ass off at work. Scurries like he is hopped up on Mountain Dew the entire time..

I asked him last year why he walks that far and he said something like "the situation at home necessitates that I work". His wife apparently won't move closer and he must like his job because there are options closer.

I have a bit of a hard time believing this.

A good runner can run a mile in 3:50.

A walker it could be as much as 20 min.

so give him 15 minutes x 22 miles = 330 minutes / 60min = 5.5 hours one way.

that is 11 hours a day to work 5 days a week. for 10 years

Not saying it can't be done- but that is almost half the day for an 8 hour shift.

He is either lying, a very fast walker or crazy.

Maybe he has to take multiple buses?

Great for him regardless. Though, I would of bought a bike at least a couple decades ago.

He's obviously missing part of his brain. It's called a bike, he could get a capable one for $100.

Seems to be confusing stats. Title says 21 miles TO work. It was mentioned in video that it was 21 miles TOTAL.

I'm not sure who to believe?!?!

So if it is 21 total that is still 2.75 hours one way IF he did not use public transportation.

still difficult for me.

21 total from what I have read, I think I walk a mile in under 20 minutes. He has to take some sort of additional transportation.

I am fine with the money and the car though being given. He did not ask for it. If he created the sites himself that is different. Some stranger doing it?

Assuming 14 miles per minute which is extremely fast for walking, 21 miles takes close to 5 hours.
