SSD Hard drives

How many of you have one in your computer?

I have a 2.5 yr old computer with one but my computer guy for some reason didnt put the operating system on it, so I heard Im probably not getting the full effect of it.

Im going to upgrade computers and going to buy another SSD, really only need a 128GB one. Ive been reading that you can keep archived files and stuff u dont really use very much on the regular HD with no problems. Anything I need to know? These things easy to put in and install by an idiot? (Me)

Yep.

Built my computer 1 1/2 years ago and bought a Samsung Pro model (cant remember the exact name) 128gb for OS and other frequently used apps and a 1TB hdd for everything else, it was the fastest one in the price point.

It's so nice turning the computer on and only have to wait maybe 10 seconds for the thing to be on the desktop.

I havent looked at prices on them in a while but the Crucial mx100 (I believe thats the right one) is typically the most aggressively priced one. It's not quite as fast as some others like the Samsung EVO but you likely aren't going to notice the difference in speeds in the real world.

also admittedly I'm paranoid when I talk about helping people (w/ computer gear) that it may send the signal I'm spamming - so that part played a part in my getting upset and hurt.
