Do you want the Seven Nation Army chant at Chiefs games?

Twice in the first half yesterday the stadium played Seven Nation Army. The first time a few people started singing along, but people in my section were mostly looking around like "WTF?" and it quickly trailed off. The second time I didn't hear anybody chime in.

When did the Chiefs start this? Clearly it's something they want to catch on. We already have a really cool "O" based sing-a-long with the war cry. I googled it and learned they also played it at the MNF game. I was at that game but didn't remember it. Maybe it just stands out more after the ALCS. Curious what the opinions are here.

god no.

it's so awful that when it's on TV, I get so irritated that I don't even want to watch the game any longer.

why would someone think this is a good idea to play over the PA system, or to have the college band play it. no one I know like it in the slightest.

Agreed. I've felt that way for awhile now. But you gotta give it up to Shawn Smith jamming to Welcome To The Jungle last game.

You have got to be kidding me.

Diamond saw a picture of Caroline Kennedy riding a horse on the cover of some magazine while he was trying to think of a three syllable name to fit in with the lyrics of a song he was writing, which became "Sweet Caroline".

He has been close friends with the Kennedy family for over 40 years. To think he wrote "Sweet Caroline" because he was lusting after Caroline Kennedy is hilarious.

Come to think of it, it probably says a lot more about you than it does about Neil Diamond...

Its no mistake or coincidence that you hear the same music game after game, listen to the music that is played on other NFL games on tv. The same tired Rolling Stone, lots of AC/DC, Queen, not that any of its bad but its wore itself out like a couple decades ago.
