Vehicle Name and Gender

What is the gender of your car? And does it have a name?

For the purposes of this poll, consider the personally owned or leased vehicle that you drive most frequently.

Also, the fully loaded Honda Odyssey is very nice.

I appreciated it, but I have a different take on it. I think your purchase bought you entry into an exclusive club of Mariner-driving chicks. You could meet them, you could talk Mariner-related things to them, and most likely you could fold down the optional third-row seating or whatever and score with them since you obviously had so much in common. I think you missed an opportunity.

My car is my trusty steed. Do you ride into battle on a mare? No. You ride into battle on a fiery stallion. The Lone Ranger's horse was Silver. Alexander the Great's horse was Bucephalus. If you want to ride into a battle on a docile mare, that's your business. But I ride into town to pillage and conquer*, and to do that most effectively, my steed is a powerful, fearless male. Just like me.

*Rape is now frowned upon, so let's just go with pillage and conquer.

I liked them because I'm tall and they are roomy and comfortable, and they're cheaper to drive and ride much nicer than a truck.

If you have kids (plural), and travel, the minivan is ****ing awesome. And yeah, I have the Big Red Truck, I've had the Porsche, I had the Mopar powered '75 Dodge Dart Sport, and I'm fine with minivans too.

Hell, I even drive the older son's Taurus from time to time! And last but not least, yeah, I occasionally ride THE BUS!!! The latter was a bit of an experiment the first time, not the money saver really think it will be, but when I have "take your son to work" (the younger son), he likes to ride the bus. It's all good, if that makes him happy, we'll ride the bus!

Well it's kind of difficult to really get mad at an inanimate object, so if you think about it at some level it makes sense too.

Yeah that's what I meant by cheaper to drive. I got 25 on the highway with my last one when I drove it to Colorado, and it was loaded to the gunwales with 4 people, two bikes and a crapload of luggage. I'm lucky to get 15-16 on the highway with my mid-sized Dakota. It did fairly well in town too.
