Why didn't you use a comma before the conjunction to separate two independent clauses? Additionally, unless you're referring to someone's dumb ass, "dumbass" is one word.

You should probably schedule a visit with an ophthalmologist.

Why would Welker's head immediately bounce backward if he was hit on the shoulder?

I thought runners weren't allowed to lower their head. If that's what Welker did, wouldn't he be the one breaking the rules?

I think they mean when the receiver braces for impact and his head involuntarily lowers.

After seeing it, I gotta say that Swearinger Shouldn't have led with his shoulder like that. People can say it's watering down the game or whatever, but Welker didn't have a chance.

On the other side, though, it's funny that Manning was so mad. He is NOTORIOUS for getting his receivers killed in plays like that. He probably felt a little guilty, hence emotional outburst. He leads guys into big hits all the time.

Damn right it is.

Nobody wanted to be the guy batting against Gibson or Koufax when the dude in front of him just went yard. You knew you were getting beaned.

That's a boss move by Manning.

You want to hard hit my boy? Well here's a touchdown I'm going to shove right up your ass and then I'm going to tell you about it. And now everyone in the league knows I pulled down your pants and paddled your little behind you ****ing piece of preseason shit.

**** yeah I love that.

It was a clean hit. Happened so fast I don't think Swearinger could have avoided it. I also don't blame Manning for leading receivers into big hits. Every QB does that. I'm sure they'd prefer everybody just be wide open over the top, but it's not always available.

What I do question is the play call. (Which very well could have been Manning.) Seems to me in the pre-season you would avoid crossing patterns with your smallish star receiver who has a concussion history. Maybe it's hindsight, but I just hate the preseason for so many reasons. I know if I was coaching I'd be insanely careful with veteran players like Welker, Manning, etc. They have nothing to prove. If there's any rust it'll be gone by halftime of the first game. So why risk it?
