Thoughts On Mark Harrison?
Seems to be turning some heads at Chiefs practice. Have read several articles now saying he has been the surprise of the camp so far for the wide receivers. 6'3" Harrison has been physical with great hands and has been getting the better of our secondary. In the link attached from today's practice it's says he went up and caught the ball over Sean Smith and then taunted him talking shit and flicking the ball in his face. Does this guy make the squad? Any thought on Harrison out of Rutgers? http://m.espn.go.com/general/blogs/b...e.com%2F%22%7D

He runs a 4.3 at his size. I'd rather keep him over Williams.

That Harrison is "turning heads" in practice simply confirms how shitty we are at WR. The Patriots needed WR's last year, the Patriots typically are pretty adept at evaluating talent, and they released him. Yet compared to the steaming pile of WR's we've assembled on this year's roster, even Harrison stands out. Not a good sign, in my opinion.
This happens year after year with the Chiefs. Don't we get our hopes up almost every preseason that some obscure WR we've picked up that somehow every other team missed on is going to be the next big thing, and every year that guy flames out before the regular season ever starts? Or they get charged with kidnapping and attempted murder? |

He isn't going to beat out Weston Dressler, so why are we even talking about this dude?

You can change my avatar to anything you want for two weeks if Weston Dressler is on the 53 man roster in Week 1.

While at camp last weekend, I was continuously going to the roster sheet to see who was making play after play...whether in 7 on 7, full team drills or one on ones, and he kept showing up. The guy certainly passes the practice test. If it translates into games, we've probably got something. He was clowning every DB on our roster in full pads on Sunday.

Am I the only one who could give two shits less about training camp? The preseason, I pay attention long enough until the 3rd stringers come in and blow the game late.
Reading reports out of camp about players doing well leaves me with a half-empty feeling, because I know some dipshit on the other side of the ball didn't do his job. |

West coast offenses (more accurately Walsh offenses) favor bigger possession WR's. That's what it was designed for.

I like Harrison. I think he'll make the 53 if he can play special teams.
