I think Barqs is the kind with caffeine but I can't remember. Anyway, I know it goes against the whole foods thing but if you are having trouble with low BP you might try it. Maybe have some coffee or something. That fits your diet better. It'll work if they're retaining water. Which if they're doing that, they should probably can the salt anyway. |

Sea salt and black pepper.
I'm a simple guy. Oh, and chives which I grow outside. Primarily eat those with scrambled eggs. |

Ya' have to understand, I don't eat a lot of processed foods that have the worst kind of salt in them. I do take salt tablets in summer. If I can't get 'em in me when out, I order a cup of soup. It handles my symptoms. I also try to keep my body's PH balanced too. |

I forget to add that I routinely use lots of garlic and usually more than any recipe calls for. I at least use the organic garlic granules as well as onion granules in a pinch. The organic has more flavor or is more pungent. Can definitely taste a difference. I use a lot of fresh too. Never thought to grate it as someone mentioned. Gonna try that. |

As far as spices, you will probably stack the shit on me, but I use a lot of Lawrys season salt.
I like Cajun seasoning. Wife isn't big on it. Wife buys some Montreal steak seasoning that owns. Not sure who makes it. Other crap I use a lot: Garlic powder Onion powder Cumin Chili powder Crushed red pepper - wife likes to sneak this into shit, particularly smoked chicken. Everybody loves it, but they whine awful hard about it. |

I've got lots of spices. But I use this probably more than anything. Great flavor...
