If given the chance to go back in time and see ONE band/musical act, who would it be?

I have a flash drive in my car that holds a ton of music, and I let it shuffle on the drive home tonight. Heard a live version of Queen's Fat Bottom Girls that I forgot I even had. Started thinking about some of the YouTube clips I've seen in their performances when Freddie was in his prime.

That morphed into another thought - if I could travel back in time to see one band or musical act perform, who would it be, when would it be and where?

I'm not sure I can even answer my own question, but I bet some of you guys can, and it beats talk of 4-12 and chicken and waffles.

Go.

Paul McCartney and Wings. Some of my all time favorite music and absolute perfection in concert.

I saw a few bands early on.

Vanilla Fudge in 1968, their version of 'You keep me hanging on' was the heaviest song I ever heard at that point in time and Carmine Appice was amazing.

Allman Brothers at a bar in St. Petersburg around Oct 1969, didn't know who they were when I walked in except they had two drummers, the keyboardist was the singer and some guy with long blonde hair was killing his red guitar. When they finished the night, they said we're the Allman Bros and our debut album comes out next month.

Jethro Tull in 1972, one of the best shows I've ever seen.

Deep Purple 1972, very disappointing, not enough of Gillan.

Black Sabbath 1972, Ozzy walked off the stage on the second song, end of show.

Queen 1974, outdoor at Sunshine Speedway St. Petersburg, Fire Marshall would not approve the stage, show could not go on. What's up, two in row.

Uriah Heep 1974, the late great David Bryon was the best frontman ever.

Atlanta Rhythm Section 1977, good party band.

Blackfoot & Johnny Van Zant 1979, good ole southern rock, Rick Medlocke smokes the guitar.

Styx 1979, really great sound and show.

Journey 1980, Steve Perry tremendous singer. The Babys as an opening act were no slouch.

1980 Blue Oyster Cult & The Cars, show cancelled the day of the event, their equipment truck broke down.

Foreigner 1982, great show.

Billy Squier 1982, Saga opened and blew him away.

Molly Hatchet 1982, Danny Joe Brown had just returned, one of the loudest bands I ever heard but were great.

REM 1984, very psychedelic lighting and performance, great!!

Def Leppard, Pyromania tour, great show, Krokus and Gary Moore opened, all were good.

Scorpions 1984, one of the best twin guitar attacks, Bon Jovi opened and kinda sucked, nobody knew who they were.

U2 1985, Unforgettable Fire tour, good show, not great but good.

Pink Floyd 1988, great light and music.

Peter Gabriel 1988 & 1993, one of my favorites.

Boston 1997 Great Show, both singers were there.

Styx & Kansas 1997 both were great!!

Queen, as mentioned before...probably in the 80's.

Iron Maiden, on the World Slavery Tour in 85 or so. I saw them in 2000...not as good.

Zeppelin...hell to the yes.

Pink Floyd

I've seen Alice Cooper a lot since he came out of rehab (the second time). Would LOVE to have seen the Welcome to my Nightmare tour.

ACDC with Bon Scott.

And probably a shit load more if I think about it.
