Test for your color vision
Random internet time-waster of the day. Here's an interesting color test:
Online Color Challenge Apparently I have very good color vision, I scored an 8. (low is better) Roughly 1/6 of people are good (0-20), about 2/3 are average (20-100), and about 1/6 are bad or color blind (> 100) Last edited by alnorth; 04-10-2014 at 08:19 PM.. |

Huh? No. Several others got zero as well. I'm questioning the test as I don't believe I have perfect color vision...

well, the 100 hue test is just a rough, classic dividing line between good, average, and bad. If you were competing for some kind of important high-end color expert job I'm sure more rigorous tests exist.

This test is pretty cool, but the monitor you are using has alot to do with it too. You can't compare scores with anyone who didn't take it with the same viewing deficiencies as you. I work in a very color oriented job, and everyone here should be able to score perfectly. When we use our color accurate monitors, that is the case, but off on tablets and laptops it gets much harder.

The very first thing I do with a new monitor is I go to a brightness and contrast web site and fix it. The first time you do it the monitor might seem too dim if you aren't used to it but now other monitors look too obnoxiously bright to me, and my colors are all correct.

I scored an 8. I think I got 3 of the rows near perfect. the row that went from sea green to mauve was the hardest. I bet I made most of my mistakes there
