ESPN cannot count

http://sports-ak.espn.go.com/nfl/standings

The standings listed show Denver ahead of KC currently

I guess 2 mannings > 3 Reids

If KC is real this will sort itself out.

I guarantee you they are going by the tiebreakers. Some of you go out of your way to be offended.

ESPN lists Denver in first because Denver is in first at the moment. The first measure is not total number of wins, it is won lost tie percentage. This is identical at 100 percent, as clearly reflected in ESPN's standings (that, incidentally, is why ESPN lists the percentage in bold immediately after the record). We then have to go to tie breaker number five, strength of victory, because the others are also tied (or to be more accurate are inapplicable at the moment). As is again clearly reflected in ESPN's standings, this is in Denver's favor (which is pretty impressive with one less game played). All of this is a basic application of the tie breaker rules: http://www.nfl.com/standings/tiebreakingprocedures

So, it could be that ESPN likes Denver, or it could be that they understand the rules a lot better than you do.

When it comes to Denver they have no gag reflex at all. They will take the entire tube steak. Same deal with Pittsburg, Dallas, and Chicago. Those teams had glory years with personalities. Stuff that could be talked about.

I did find it rather annoying this morning that keyshawn was talking about how improved the AFCW west was and mentioned everyone but KC... if i had to guess, i'd say it was a petty snub for Reids beautiful dismissal of paolantonio.

In baseball the standings often reflect that a team has played a different number of games than the other teams in their division. If this were the same standard KC would be on top because they are a half a game ahead in the standings.
