Will the Royals get a playoff win before the Chiefs?

As bad as the Royals have been for the last 15 years, KC seems to be happy with the direction they're going (the moves they've made this offseason), moreso than the Chiefs. Will they get a playoff victory before the Chiefs (series)?

I have read this book about how the Royals are about to be good before. I will tell you how it ends.

OK good for you. See you after we sign a front line starter or two this off season. Make sure to remember now.

I am just sitting back and watching not declaring greatness...this time...no this time...no in 5 years...in 2 years these guys are going to be awesome...just wait.

Not to mention that baseball is a sport on the decline...kids are not interested in it and it is bland.

For those who don't follow baseball at all, this is no longer sarcastic silly fatalism. It could really happen.

The Royals offense is starting to look really, really good. They just need a couple pitchers to win their crappy division, they have plenty of prospects to deal, and everyone expects KC to go for it in 2012.

That book has not been written by anyone who knew what they were talking about the last couple decades.

lol ok Zach. I never declared greatness either but this team has all the parts but starting pitching. Don't listen to me though ask anyone here who pays attention. It's not hard to find them in either game threads or the repository threads.

Baseball is on the decline though... which is why attendance is up and even the Royals had 30k on a Chiefs Sunday trying to complete a 4 game sweep.

As far as kids go... well our kids are doing great and our minors are still loaded. A little research will show you that. Little kids? Well theyre being brought up in football households with little attention span. Baseball requires that.

Royals have had one part of the equation before.

Hell the Chiefs made a living off being being good except for x in 90's and 2000's.

It's fine Zach believe what you want to believe without actually watching. I'd venture a guess that you have no idea about the talent the Royals have on the current team in hitting, defense and bullpen. We still need a frontline starter or two... which DM is on record saying they'll go after.

It doesn't matter though. When it comes together soon the masses like you will declare their love and support.

They had a couple players in the outfield before. They had a pitcher before.

Those years were fool's gold. They are light-years ahead of that. The entire infield is made up of rookies, from catcher all the way around, all of whom have produced thus far. Our shortstop is probably one of the best 3 shortstops in the AL. The outfield is solid, and we appear to have a couple stars in Hosmer and Gordon.

Our entire lineup, from 1 to 9, is somewhere between "great" and "good enough" We have no holes, no automatic outs, our bullpen could use some help but its not bad and we have our closer.

The Royals just need a couple starters and they could be set. They have never been that close since the early 90's.
