Let's say instead of the top overall pick, it was this years second and a conditional 3rd (that could go as high as next years first) for Brady?
Trade down to 8-10 and take the best qb available while adding picks. I'd have to think about something like that before turning it down because it would immediately turn this team around while also providing us a groomable franchise guy in the mold of Rodgers. I'm NOT saying I'd trade that golden ticket we are sure to have, but adding a HOF qb while also being able to draft a first rounder wouldn't piss me off as bad as some. |

there is a 0% chance the Pats ever trade Tom Brady zero zero zero even if Belichick were INSANE...the owners would never allow it this is stupid |

That should have read our 2nd and 3rd with next years 2nd that could go up to a 1st if we win a playoff game. It's PURELY HYPOTHETICAL and I'm not sure I'd pull the trigger...Brady will be what? 36? What's that give us? 3? 4 years max? No guarantee that all of those would be at a high level, either. It would be tempting...I don't think the Patriots would trade him, but they always seem to get rid of guys when not much is left on the wick and they drafted Mallett pretty high. I guess I'm just sick of talking about how shitty our team is that I'm deseparate for some positive talk. |

why would you even participate in this troll thread and pretend it's a realistic scenario? Yes, the Pats traded Richard Seymour. I think Richard Seymour and Tom Brady are a little different to that franchise... Pretty sure Boston fans would burn that stadium down and riot until the Patriots had no choice but to move to London. |

and the only reason the Peyton Manning fiasco happened was because of a freak neck injury, a bunch of clowns who were all like "omg he'll never be the same (lol)", and then the fact the franchise knew Luck was going to be the best QB to hit the league since, well, Peyton Manning, so being the smart franchise they are they tanked so they could weigh their options...
the worst thing that happened to them was Manning's ridiculous contract made him untradeable, so they had to cut him (which was the right move)... so unless Brady breaks his neck next game and Mallett throws 5 TD's a game and leads the Pats to a Super Bowl... pretty sure the Patriots wouldn't trade him for our 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th round picks next year. Oh and 5th, 6th and 7th. |
