For various reasons.

My point is... Without a legitimate #2 what would it hurt to give the kid a chance to see if he can do what he did for this team in August. We have a legitimate #1 guy. There's a good chance we'll retain Gonzalez. We need to identify a #2 guy. The Chiefs ALREADY wanted to keep the kid around. He was signed away by another team. Why not bring him back and put him on the active roster...see what he has?

I like how your argument disappeared though.
And you started in with the personal attacks.
That's par for the course with you.
Look in the mirror.

YOU are the one that deflected the conversation to my thoughts about Croyle.

You don't HAVE an argument other than he looked decent against other scrubs in PS. You just keep repeating the same thing.

"We should bring Price back in."

Basically the argumentative equivalent of stomping your feet and holding your breath because things aren't going the way YOU think they should.

micjones: We should bring Price back.

OTW: Why?

micjones: He looked good in the PS.

OTW: Yeah, against other 3rd, 4th and 5th stringers.

micjones: But, he looked good. Let's bring him back.

OTW: Why? There are 32 teams in the league that feel he's not worthty of a roster spot.

micjones: But he looked good in PS. Let's bring him back.

If the answer to every question was "why not?", you could be a Jeopardy Grand Champion.

I used it as an illustration of how young players are handled by this organization. Ignore that if you'd like, but it's in plain view for everyone to see.

I think a player who performs well in the pre-season should get an opportunity to stay on with the team. The fact that he did so against inferior talent doesn't diminish anything in my mind. If it were that simple EVERY Wide Receiver playing against 2nd and 3rd stringers would produce. I think we know that isn't the case.

OTW: Why?

micjones: He was arguably the Chiefs most impressive WR this pre-season.

OTW: Yeah, against other 3rd, 4th and 5th stringers.

micjones: Jeff Webb wasn't as impressive against the same inferior talent.

OTW: There are 32 teams in the league that feel he's not worthty of a roster spot.

micjones: 20 teams passed on Randy Moss. Brady was passed over 198 times.

OTW: You're whining... Na na na boo boo...

Nice work, hypocrite. Again, I detail the entire conversation between you and I, and you resort to this:

You're whining... Na na na boo boo...

You could have saved a lot of time, and just typed:

I think I'm smarter than the NFL.

Tom Brady and Randy Moss WERE passed over.

In the DRAFT.

This kid has FILM, in LIVE, NFL GAME ACTION for the rest of the league to see and evaluate. And no one is knocking.

Funny you mention Webb. A guy who racked up over 300 yards and a TD receiving as a #4. Playing against the best of the best.

Price can't beat HIM out, and you want him to get a look at the #2 spot?

I'll ask AGAIN.

Where was the outrage over Casey Printers when he was cut?

Same situation, different position.

I'm just wondering why every time this kid's name is brought up, you're about the only person that absolutely pines for him...

That reminds me. Who did Bobby Sippio sign with? I keep flipping around the Sunday Ticket trying to catch a glimpse of greatness, but he is very elusive.

But hey, keep taking your "I'm smarter than the league" contrarian approach. It makes this place fun.

Price has shown no NFL talent and that's why he is not playing in the NFL....bottom line. Just because you get drafted , doesn't mean you are an automatic stud or automatic scrub. You have to show one or the other....and since 2 teams have passed and we don't see him on the receiving leader boards....hmmmmm

But, he did, in preseason, against guys selling insurance and bagging groceries right now. /micjones

On a bit of a side note, how sad is it that people think that 6 catches for under 100 yards and a TD against inferior competition over 3 PS games is worth keeping a guy?

It's what the "true fans" do.

Grasp at straws.

"You know, if I close my eyes and wish REALLY hard, the Chiefs might resign a scrub they already dumped - and he might become a STAR!"

You want the city to become a sports team? Weird.

I was just hoping the mayor would extend a welcome to Price, and he might decide to live in "our" fine community.

No ****ing way do I want him playing for the Chiefs. He's good only when playing against grocery baggers.
