Chiefs need a chain-mover, punisher, clock eater....this is him...

I really....REALLY like this kid. If anybody knows me from the old days at Wild Bills Chiefs...or Chief Concerns on facebook...when I get a gut feelin about a prospect, they tend to turn out to be pretty good.

Check this next vid out....the 2:57 mark is gorgeous. I think that safety died for few seconds

If we're looking at a little guy like Kamara, I'd probably hold off a few rounds and take Pumphrey instead.

Michigan RB De'Veon Smith: Smith has been very solid in every area during the week of practices. He runs with power and balance between the tackles and he was more effective in the passing game than I expected. He caught the ball easily and was a little quicker than he looked on game tape.

LOL it was. I certainly was imbibing a bit too much then. Though, given the current state of affairs, it seems reasonable to hit the bottle again. Not sure I'll go down the road of that epic of a melt down again though.

Kamara only has 3 inches and 45 pounds on Pumphrey, but eh, whats the difference.

His weight distibution is high.

Things he does best:

1) run through giant holes
2) break really bad tackles

He is Ricky Waters without speed or Harvey Williams without neck.

what is the up side?

Running back is very relevant. The running game was ass awful the last half of the season. Ware had 35! yards in the playoff game.

We need a quick RB with pass catching ability bad. Not as bad as QB obviously, but it should be something we address this off season.

In his last 8 games Ware had 429 yards with a 3.6 ypc. I'd like him as a backup RB, but he shouldn't be a starter next year.
