Changes that need made to turn the season around

Let's get right down to it.

Start Chase Daniel or Aaron Murray....I think the team would rally around either guy.
Run the ball more...get West and Sherman involved a lot more.
Start Conley and get him involved in the weekly gameplan...this should be our counter punch to teams consistently blitzing.
Activate Steven Nelson and have him play the nickel.
Feed the ball to Kelce and Maclin a lot more...especially on third down.
Let Howard have the NT job full time. The DL was stronger when he was playing more reps. At least IMO.
Move Poe to end full time.
Andy needs to hand over play calling duties to Childress, or Pederson.

I know there are lots of other changes that need made, but that should get us started.

First, truth.

Second; WHOA, WHOA, WHOA; for real?

That explains a metric shit-ton. Sweet Christ; Reid needs to be neutered.

I agree.

You also have to take into account that when chase was playing against second stringers, he was also playing WITH second stringers. It balances out. Chase has done well every chance he has gotten (including New Orleans). He has just been unlucky that he has been stuck behind 2 highly paid profile QBs.
Dude needs a chance for sure.

I'm sorry, when exactly did Daniel get a chance with New Orleans?

Chase Daniel looked almost exactly like a Smith mini-me in his 2 starts against San Diego over the last 2 seasons, and in is preseason games in those same 2 seasons.

He, however, did look like a different QB this preseason.
It appeared something clicked for him.

Can someone elaborate on Pederson calling plays in preseason? I must have had my head in the sand on that one. It wasn't seriously all Pederson in preseason and then a complete switch to Andy during the season was it?

As far as I know, Pederson did do all the play calling in the preseason, though it wouldn't surprise me to learn that Reid did the third game.

If Andy wants to "do a better job", he should stick to his strengths and let Pederson do his.

Open up the offense. Quit with the Andy Reid sideways offense. Throw it over the offensive line. Throw it down the field. Give it to Charles. Give it to Kelce. What do we have to lose?

I've seen enough of Reid over the years to recognize that he isn't responsible for the sideways offense.

Even with weak arms like Jeff Garcia's and AJ Feeley's, he still called plays to push the ball down the field consistently enough to make his short passing game effective.

This sideways offense is all about Alex Smith and his fear of mistakes.

I don't think Andy Reids play calling is the problem.

The current qb is the problem, playing like a scared bitch, running from clean pockets and sucking ass.

The small amount of college football I was able to watch today, there were qbs everywhere more confident than our starter.

He's broken.

I saw a true freshman QB in Drew Lock do things I know I'll never see from Smith this year today.

I thought the same thing. Chase did everything you would normally want a QB to do on any given play throughout all of pre-season. I'd love to see him get a shot to prove what he is now.
