Like everything - hit him in the mouth until he's stumbling around looking for his mouthpiece like Mike Tyson.

Crowd noise and the #1 pass rush in the NFL...get a lead and kill the short game. Make Brady hold the ball longer than he's comfortable with.
That noise is going to bother the offense...especially with Ford, Jones and Houston getting a split second jump. #1. Get out to a lead...put the pressure on them to keep up. |

If I'm the DC, I calling Bob Sutton and having him give me his game plan. A lot of 3 and 4-man rushes. Dropping OLB's into coverage. People hate it but it works. |

I think we have a good chance as long as we can score more points than they do. That's probably the best strategy to beat them.

Take away quick passes as best we can.
Pats are going to do their best to have a lot of quick passes since they are well aware of our pass rush and have learned from their past experiences against the NYG so pass rush is way too simple of an answer IMO. If our secondary can take away the quick passes it'll go a long way towards getting some sacks and making him uncomfortable w our pass rush |

Pressure up the middle. Man on outside (Brady's outside receivers suck), Berry on Gronk, then you have LBs in zone coverage and Sorensen or Lucas picking up the backs in coverage. Sutton knows how to **** with Brady's head. |

Sutton plays a lot of man with 1 high. This lets him use the extra man in the box or alley, as either a robber, blitz or spy. As long as KC DB's get physical on the jam, they will disrupt Brady's timing and should be able to get there with 4. Houston did not play in the first meeting this year, which will be a huge factor. They literally ran at Speaks all game.

Historically the Pats and BB are really a run oriented team in the post season. I know Brady gets all the accolades but people can't underestimate the value of the run to BB.
Former Jets DC older article but some good insight(stop the run, pressure from front 4 are key) https://www.si.com/2015/01/08/how-to...d-the-patriots Von Miller says hit him https://www.theplayerstribune.com/en...brady-patriots Demarcus Ware, hit him: Tom Brady Tom always knows where the blitz is coming from. You can’t trick him. We’d get to the line and I’d be coming on a blitz, and before the snap he’d yell, “Blue 32 … Blue 32 … Ware! Ware! Ware!” And he’d point right at me. I’d be like, How does he know I’m coming? The keys to Tom’s game are recognizing the blitz and getting the ball out of his hands quickly. You rarely see him hold onto the ball. The way to beat Tom Brady is to hit him. As many times as you can, hit him. And even then, it might not be enough. In the AFC Championship Game a couple of years ago, we sacked Tom four times and we hit him 20 times. Twenty times. The thing was, every time we hit him, he got back up. We hit Tom more times than any quarterback had been hit in any game that season, and he still had his team a two-point conversion away from tying the game late in the fourth quarter. The dude is relentless. Everybody knows what Tom Brady can do with the football. He has great arm strength. He’s accurate. He throws a great deep ball. But he can also take a hit. Like, 20 of them.
