Have you ever cried over a sporting event?
Just curious. I never knew anyone even considered it until I found this board and several of you said you do. (Not passing judgment at all, I just have honestly never heard of it).
The only time I can recall getting emotional over a sporting event was January 1996, we all know what I'm referring to. I walked out my parents basement and was yelling outside and throwing stuff for probably 20 min. Then I realized "Nobody can hear me and my ears are now frozen". Sports are, as Don Fortune once said, the Toy Department of life. Anyway: do you cry over sports? Well punk: do ya? |

Oddly enough, I've never cried because of a loss. It's only been for winning. Mostly for KU basketball stuff. Definitely for Royals winning.

I barely remember that night. Was a night of euphoria.

Twice.
Kicker that shall not be named. KU loss to Northern Iowa. The first I can blame on being a child. The 2nd, not so much so I'll say I was drunk.

The only time was at age nine during the ALCS. I still hate Chris Chambliss.

I can see a participant crying over a loss, a bad loss.
I can't see a spectator crying over a loss. If you have testicles and are over 7 and you've cried watching a sporting event, and it wasn't tears because some guy on the field was a wounded military hero or just saved an entire bus load of grade school kids, but because of the outcome of a fair contest between two teams -- then I just don't know what to say. On the other hand... |
